so its an intentional design choice that bombs can clip through your plane only in one direction?

Bro woke up and writing bug everywhere.
You mean game bug or bug as a fly?
Yeah. I would get it, if the bombs would like break my wings when they push against the wings from downside, but clipping through them and then get stuck on my wings? Hell nah

Yes because bombs just clip through wings in real life as well, definitely not a bug.... opinion only.
I find it confusing that people think wt is a hyper realistic game.
Like yes, it's got some impressive mechanics, like the temperature of a map affecting your shells velocity or your engine temperature. But a lot of the basic mechanics are very buggy/janky. And a lot of older planes/jets are outdated in their flight models. Like the super mystere taking 3-4 seconds to even move on the runway when afterburner is clearly on. or some of the early 1950s jets having abysmal acceleration.
There's just so many things that if you attempt to immerse yourself, it will break it.
and things just go downhill even more for ground RB. everything is broken there from the balancing to the penetration mechanics and damage models.

The cause of all this? a 20+ year old game engine and 20+years of spaghetti coding.
It will never be fixed, and gaijin doesn't even seem interested in trying. Look how many YEARS it took them to fix the RP loss bug. Though I think that was because of incompetent and biased forum moderators.

In summery, the game is very janky, and unbalanced. But we will still play it because there's no competition out there (especially since WoT is on it's death bed). I hope one day some game dev will make a up to date and FUN pvp military fighting sim. But untill then we're stuck with this hunk of junk.

I would like to give credit where credit is due, what the game devs (the programmers, artists, sound designers) have created is impressive. but it's the game leads that are the screwy ones. Their lust for money is going to be the downfall of WT, just like WoT. It's just a matter of time.

its sarcasm based on how gaijin markets the game as being realistic, even though its still pretty arcade.
is it more realistic than world of tanks? at least when i miss i know it was my own aim and not rng saying no.

Possibly people who have never served in the military?

I think its usually people who get attracted by the trailers/ads. Or have heard information from other people, and not yet played the game, or checked it out themselves.

Yeah but I also witnessed specimens with thousands of hours still saying this game is "Realistic"

I haven't served into military either but I've watched a lot of military documentaries and military vehicles to know that more than half of the stuff in this game is unbalanced/inaccurate or unrealistic as hell.

Maybe I don't have a say in this but when I see nerds in this game acting all mighty that they "know military stuff" I simply ask them also "Have you been in the military?" , "Have you operated this vehicle irl?" and surprise surprise, most go quiet.

I think my other guess, would be it might be like a game of telephone. People with those amount of hours, might be saying its "more realistic than X game". And somewhere people take it another way.

Other than that, I would start leaning on the "No Military" experience argument.
I'm sorry about the Title. It was a product of salt after some hours of grinding and this did happen like A LOT. And since everywhere i see a advertisment for WT they be Like SuPeR rEaLiStIc GaMe!!!. and. Yeah. Still would be *cool* if ... I dont know, give bombs you drop for like 10 seconds noclip and all be good i guess.
This also happens with Bombers, btw! I had quite a few times where i dropped them and my plane started to shake and i got damage from out of no where, tho i did not had Nvidia on at that time :/
