Red tops are broken now?
Haven't been playing the br sea vixens are at for a long time, or at least not seen many of them, i got got killed by one with a red top that moved like an R-60.

Everyone knows they're so heavy they dont maneuver well, this one straight up pulled 35 gs and came after me at 9.0 going mach 2 off launch from 2.3 km away.

Yeah we just had a match with 2 Sea Vixens, 1 Cougar, 1 attacker, 1 F2H Banshee at 8.3. As German team this is no fun at all, as our only missile fighter is the Sea Hawk which gets 2 missiles 2 guns and has no hope in hell of catching a Sea Vixen.
Especially if they teamwork, I was winning a good fight against the Banshee, got hits in, critical had to maneuver, get nailed by a Sea Vixen. Same with an Attacker, outmaneuver, get close pull in to get hits on, cougar Winders me.
The problem was also that we had a very low, thick cloud base at 2200-2500m.

That one Vixen Pilot went 17-2 kills in that match and utterly wrecking it for us. The problem as a german team from 7.3-8.3 in Sim is that we have nothing to counter the Sea Vixen with, as it outruns everything and can circle climb us.
The only time we have something to fight it with, is when we get 8.7s, the Mig can catch it at altitude. Not at low level.
And before that we pretty much only have Me-262 and Me-163 Variants+Go-229, aka late war variants and prototypes against late 1940s and early 1950s jets.

I got one, because it's pilot got cocky and thought he could just blow through a headon with me, and I got my Sea Hawks guns on.

I'm Fellow Sea Hawk pilot, it's got 4 20 mm cannons but thats beside the point. With how they've been moving stuff up in br idk why they havent done it to the Sea Vixen. when they get a downtier it's like it used to be with F-104s, except the Vixen has a good amount of missiles so they can run away into a climb, then come back before you can run away. It's ridiculous, and something that still hasnt change. I got a test drive a while back(like 2 years ago) and it was stupid how easy it is to use, just climb and steal kills or just fly behind people and fire your missiles.

Exactly, or act as bait/interrupter, as you have to deal with the Sea Vixen as it is the main threat, which then often leaves you vulnerable to being sniped or Windered by the other jets on the enemy team. Or them missiling you after you then have to defend against their teammate in a Banshee.

We can outturn the Sea Vixen, but only just and we throw away most of our energy, and they out-accelerate us so much it isn't even funny. So they just need to turn straight speed up and then just turn slightly to defeat an AIM-9B shot.

Fight's against a Cougar are interesting, they have more missiles, but they are not invulnerable. Against the Sea Vixen, it's just pain, because if that pilot has more than 2 brain cells to rub together, he will give you no chance at all.
Fights against a good Meteor pilot, especially one who knows how to negate the AIM-9B are just awesome. Had two of those last week, where we were maneuvering against each other for 5 minutes. First one I won, the second...well I was saved by the bell (aka the ticket counter running out) or he would've got me. I got lucky there that guy would've deserved the kill and I would not have begrudged it.

Honestly the 7.0-8.0 and 8.0-9.0 brackets are far too compressed, We need one part of it for WW2 jets and one for early cold war jets.
Actually having more of a continous months/years format instead of BR would be great, so you could have the Korean War dogfights without missiles, and the later Taiwan Crisis time with the first missiles and in WW2 you would have the constant see-saw of advantage/disadvantage between nations.

I've been a big fan of the idea for adding a dogfight mode like a 4v4 or something where theres no missiles, only guns and actual skill knowing your aircraft. A smaller team means less chance of a furball and even if there is one, the teams are small enough there is cohesion with everyone being able to focus on teamwork rather than stealing all the kills otherwise you'll lose; and it would be easy for everyone to get a decent amount of kills or assists.
