Remove BattlEye Anti-Cheat

It's annoying to have spyware running on my PC 24/7 and it's really taken a drag on performance. War Thunder runs at like 12 FPS on my friend's computer since the update and now I have to play the game alone.

This should be plenty to run the game on reasonable graphics settings.

Minimum graphics settings, drivers up to date. He was running War Thunder fine before the update that added BattlEye

i run it on high custom settings and that he should do with out any problem

Try verifying game files.
In Steam, right click on the game, select properties, go to local files tab and press verify integrity of game files.

It was a pure money descision so they not gonna revert anything. Everyone knows Battleye is a whole meme compared to other anticheats. Their EAC contract or whatever they had probably went out and they were like "yeah who cheats in a tank game anyways"

anyone that knows a thing or two actually knows that this isnt the case. battleye needs to be configured by the devs. not only that, but regardless of anticheat, the game itself needs an anticheat (meaning ACs like battleye or eac just check for software, but the game itself would still need to check for things like speedhacks or teleporting).

so, if you think that BE isnt working, its because the devs didnt configure it properly and/or their ingame anticheat doesnt work or doesnt exist

in either case, the fault is on the devs

Your friend probably has a old config.blk with data not used in the current version of the game tell him to delete that file and make sure to not let the Nvidia app manage the game settings the file is in the game root folder default path for steam is

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\War Thunder

clearing the cache folder and compiled Shaders folder can help too but make sure to check for file integrity after deleting these 2 folders

tell your friend to roll back to an older GPU Driver this has caused issues for me before some of the Drivers from Nvidia are bad and give you low FPS or stutters

Battle eye just crashed my whole system and gave me a BSOD with the error KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

I hate this anti cheat crap they bloat your PC with these days! Gaijin needs to remove this garbage.

Battleeye isnt preventing cheaters anyway. today I have encountered an average of 1,2 cheaters per game
