should i take a plane to kill other planes or a spaa

7.7 usa lots of planes are bombing me. i currently have the f8f1 in my lineup and no spaa. should i put the m163 in my lineup or stick to the f8f1 since i can kill tanks and planes with the f8f1

if you can only fit 1 in your lineup i'd take whichever one you feel more capable of fighting planes in. Personally I am better in a plane than SPAA so i'd take the plane.

The best thing is to get both, a lot of people is dumb enough to go face first into battles diving into SPAA line of fire but for decent pilots you will need another plane often in order to take them down

Planes and tanks are for the good players since both can be used in an offensive role. Crap players always go for the AA in spawn and sit there for the rest of the round. What you choose is according to how good you are and how you prefer to play, challenging and risk taking or easy mode in spawn.

A fair amount of AA vehicles are still pretty alright at fighting other tanks, and SPAA isn't for 'crap' players. Sure sitting in spawn is only half of the battle with SPAA, moving into the map more to get a bit closer to where the planes are attacking can help get kills ( I would know too often i'm getting 3+ kills on planes in an SPAA) and you need to get some tall enough cover, some maps DO NOT have good cover from planes and it is just pain and those are maps where flying a anti CAS plane is a better idea. Unfotunately, I despise flying planes so I don't have any to put in a line up

On some maps you can even spawn in SPAA right away, go for light tank hunt at the beginning and then switch to shooting down planes.

You can spawn at the start of pretty much any map with a SPAA and depending on who your facing it might be quite a good idea 2bh eg, if facing the USA and their inevitable swarms of CAS! Using a SPAA early in a match is also great for knocking out the CAS rushers early eg, they barely got enough SP to spawn their plane as is so if killed before they get a kill is usually game over or at least SPAA time for them.

Then depending on what SPAA you actually use is a whole other story eg Falcon, Marksman etc. I think the Falcon is one of my most used SPAA's if not most used vehicle by now, using that thing like a IFV almost feels dirty asf...almost lmao. So many players in chat/after the match while using it, best one was from a guy on my own team because I got a quick nuke when he had just popped a 300% booster lol...suffering from success
