GRB maps are too small for top tier
maps like ardennes and rhine are the epitome of devolved gameplay. every tank can one shot each other no problem, especially at these close distances. top tier needs larger maps at a consistent rate with the CQB "shipment" style dogsh*t maps at a lower rate. whats the point of modern weapon systems with the average engagement at ~100m. top tier is just call of duty with tanks.

current map sizes are literally what causes most of the problems: spawn trapping, CAS, SPAA ineffectiveness, "w-key noobs", etc. larger maps actually give people time to move and develop the battle, more options to attack objectives, more spawn locations... larger maps would fix so much.

Exactly, and new game modes, a mode designed for Tigers and Stukas is not going to work for Challenger 3's and Eurofighters

But people can't take their head out of their ass over '"planed killed me needs nerf"
Haven't Gaijin basically confirmed they're not going to increase map sizes? or am I just misremembering.

Regardless, I totally agree.
there isn't enough space in top tier battles for MBT era game-play, unfortunately a map-size increase would require an increase in attention span and effort on the part of the average player... and if you've spent any time reading posts here or on the forums you'll see the problems with that.

the fighting distance for Tigers in WW2 was 1-2km and Tigers crew been told to stay the ♥♥♥♥ out of towns...

Sands of Sinai is currently the only map where Tiger can be used the way it's supposed to be used.

And what does it look like on large maps??? 80-90 percent of players walk a few hundred meters after spawning, hide behind the first hill and wait and camp for 90 percent of the game, or the entire game. Boring long games with a low score because nothing much happens on the map and most players just wait hidden. For active players who don't imagine having fun under a tent in one place for 15 minutes, it's often a clear loss because if they move forward 10 enemy hidden tanks are just waiting for someone to come out in front of their cannon because it's easy. I often disconnect from similar maps right at the beginning if the map mode comes up, not one, maximum two points of occupation when the player is not forced to do any activity at all. I often get tired, long games with a low score.

Large Maps aren't going to work when everyone ODL and snipe from one Spawn into another. They also tend to have zero cover against CAS.

I had lots of Matches on large Maps where i went to an Objective, encountered one person and while i was going for another Objective or pushing their Spawn the Match was already over when i got there, sometimes only got to see a grand total of 2-3 Enemies entire Match.

At least on smaller Maps people respawn more often and its sure to get some Action and not just drive to one Spot and remain there or stay at Spawn for several Minutes sniping into other Spawn, press Rangefinder and click LMB, done. Unless you go for Objective but then its just like on small Maps CQB if anyone went there with only difference being it takes ten times as long to get there with open fields inbetween.

that no one ever pings or communicates is even worse on large Maps too

And they are also a pain in the A** when you are in an unspaded Tank, nowadays i just insta return to Hangar when i want to spade a Tank and get a large Map.

It comes down to map design. You can have a large map that stimulates gameplay if the map is well designed.

Nah, back then the old Kursk map was peak for WW2 tanks like Tigers, Panthers or IS-1/2. I miss those times
