I guess you and I must just play VASTLY different games. Mind linking me up with you server connection guy?? /s
Even though im thinking about buying f18 pack 😆
Regarding waiting times, except for simulators and certain BRs I have no problem with waiting times, I usually find a game within 10 minutes, even on some EU servers, even though I often use EU, SNS. So I can't agree with that.
Regarding bad gameplay in ARB, that's another problem and you're right in most cases. ARBs are incredibly poorly balanced in many BRs and thanks to even worse matchmaking, if you don't have the right plane ARBs can be really painful where the game often decides for you about your success and failure, and that obviously can't please any player. ARBs in general need proper balance, not just moving the problem from one BR to another like Gaijin does. Matchmaking can really get you down very quickly if it sends you to full uptier 5 times in a row, for example. from BR 11.3-11.7, where you find yourself in BR 12.3-12.7 where you suddenly face planes of a completely different category, either with flight characteristics, or top tier equipment. ARBs need either a proper decompression, or a change in matchmaking to a lower range. It's simply crazy how many planes can meet each other in ARB. That's why many players play ARBs purely for grinding, not really for fun, because they are not fun thanks to balance and matchmaking.
Personally, I think that Gaijin's goal is to make players suffer and buy premium planes. Gaijin not only doesn't solve this problem, it further increases it by adding new or premium planes to BRs that make the game even worse. Now when I play ARB somewhere between levels 10.0 and 12.7 the game is monotonous, full of the same planes, often premium. You hardly even see regular tree planes anymore. F4S, Mig-23ML, F1C, Bison, Lazur, F-4EJ, F-20, J7D, etc. It's the same thing over and over again. The worst part is that such a narrow range of planes creates black holes in matchmaking that pull all the surrounding BRs together. For example, if you play a plane at BR 11.7 you won't even see your BR, down tier at all, you are constantly in BR 12.0-12.3-12.7 and are facing very strong premium planes.
ARBs are currently really in the worst possible state in terms of balance and fun. Unless you play the right plane, often premium.
