There is no discount for each new machine that was added for two updates, or discounts. In other words, do not expect any discount for this plane during the next two discount events.

The choice is of course yours, but if I were you, I would think twice. The plane is not bad for its BR, but there is also a problem, it is the worst possible BR you can wish for, namely 13.0. In other words, for a relatively high amount you will get a plane whose success will be largely determined by matchmaking, not you. It is a plane without modern Fox-3 missiles, which also does not have the performance of top tier planes. In other words, if the game decides to send you to the uptier, or full uptier, between planes like Rafale, Eurofighter, F-15E, or the new SU-30SM, you will suffer very, very much, believe me. :) In other words, one of the most expensive planes in the game and matchmaking will decide for you. :) There are very few planes on your BR 13.0, so getting your own BR is very difficult and with the current state of matchmaking which likes to send players to the uptier, full uptier, there is a high probability that you will spend most of your time on 13.7-14.0, which you will not like. :) I am just pointing out a fact that many players are not aware of.

To add to this, if you wanna play like its Top Gun with cool maneuvers, think again, DOG FIGHTS DO NOT EXIST, THERE IS NO "RESPECT THE 1V1" RULE. THEY ARE A MYTH, A LEGEND FROM THE OLD AGE. That aside, any BR below 9.0 is the best for dogfights.

There has to be 2-3 major updates since a premium introduction until it goes on sale, so you'll have to wait a bit for the F-18 to have a somewhat reasonable price

As a disclaimer to this, you can always go into arcade matches for that Ace Combat-ish feeling, honestly it's more fun than realistic when it comes to top tier

And the rewards won't change much in the end since you can play 3-5 arcade matches in the time of one realistic :P
