buff Su-30SM engines

Why tf did gaijin give the Su-30SM the old garbage engines instead of the upgraded one that the Su-27SM has?

Su-30SM will probably be dead at arrival because eurofighter and F-15E will still just orbital spamraam half of the lobby away.

we have yet to see how good they actually will be on live servers. remember when people thought MICA missiles got a buff on the test servers because they suddenly started hitting a lot more just for it to turn out the reason was because the dev servers were better than the live servers. also according to the russian dev stream it will be the same just slightly more range.

Su-30SM will be simply to slow for it to be a proper 14.0 jet.

remember when USA mains cried about the F-15E engine and then gaijin gave in and actually gave it to them. why cant we have the same for the Su-30SM?

so? its still gonna be a decent amount worse than the F-15E, eurofighter and rafale.

F-18C late is also kinda bad in the current meta, 60 countermeasure for a top tier jet is just sad.

It won't take the crown from the EF2K/F15E. The N011 BARS radar and the slightly improved R-77-1 might make the plane less irrelevant, though, and the TVC will make for funny memefights, but imo that's about it.

US is the main demographic at top tier, anytime we have a non-american plane doing good at top tier (Gripen, EF2K, Rafale), it's a whine fest.

r-77-1 is just slightly upgraded r77 without FM fix or anything, it just has longer guidance time with better seeker or smth and that's all (as bvvd said on stream "it's a slight upgrade of electronics and it's still miles behind 120")

The F18 will getting BOL pods as stated in its dev blog. Maybe read also the R77-1's are 50 g fox3s meaning the MICA now has competition in the high g fox 3 area. The SU30SM is meant as a dogfighter and interceptor not a long range missile bus. Maybe understand each jets strengths and abilities instead of whining. Also it's insanely easy to dodge AIM120s from people in orbit if you're dying to those then that's on you

So how is that jet 14.0 material again?
