(fixed) Did gaijin change how the config file works with the latest update?

Before the major update, there was a file called "config" where you could switch the steam_auto_login value from true to false, and it did actually work. I managed to log in to my gaijin account completely normal and the second i logged in i got bombardet with achievments and my hours started being logged unlike with the manual game updater.

My windows got corrupted and I had to reinstall windows and thus also delete war thunder, I downloaded it again and when I went to change the setting of auto login I found the "config" file but the setting it self was not there? I have no idea why or what has changed but i cannot find it so here I am asking other people if they have the same problem.

I also cannot find the old post here where i readt how to do this in the first place, did that get deleted too??

Whoops! False alarm, I was NOT looking at the right place and it was my fault. Google search history saved me and I found the old thread about it. For anyone wondering how to also do this in case you were wondering:

1. Go to C:\Users\{user}\Documents\My Games\WarThunder\Saves
2. Open the file called "common" with notepad or anything similar which will let you edit it.
3. Set "useSteamLoginAuto:b=yes" to "useSteamLoginAuto:b=no"

There you go, now you can launch the game as if you are playing with a steam account but now you will not be logged in automatically and you can log in with your gaijin account.
