Modern warships?

We have modern fighters, tanks, helicopters but no ships. Why is this?

you ask a question and people are going to wonder why you want that answer.

If warthunder ever gets modern vessels it will come later, ground and air didnt get to modern vehicles overnight, they took a decade. Naval is still new as these things go. thats the only real answer to the thread on the surface level

now all that remains is discussing the why, Why anyone would even want modern vessels is discussion worthy. you are not obligated to participate, this is a public forum.

His question wanst misinterpreted. it was answered way back in post 2

hes just confused why we are now discussing the motivations behind that question, what would modern naval even look like in warthunder and why would someone think modern naval would be a good idea

this is how discussions work, you have a starting point and a natural progression. If all the OP was after was the most surface answer then they dont have to keep participating.... we are just discussing the unasked implications of the question among ourselves, with or without the OP

like most have said because of how unpopular naval is and how bad they implemented naval went it first came to the game it isn't seen as worth it to gaigin, as of now there are 3 ships with missiles (Russian destroyer, US Douglas and Italian seatta) but there are more that can have missiles but not implemented and with naval having arguably the worst compression of any tree there's very little chance we will see anything more modern soon.

hell we don't even have Iowa class battleships yet for the US and i think around that time is when we see more modern stuff mainly involving defense weapons like cwis systems first then more missile based weapons
