Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)
Hey everyone! Today we have the planned Battle Rating changes for August. There are changes for Aircraft, Ground Vehicles, and Naval Vessels, make sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below.

For all the details, please check out the Battle Rating changes table, but first we’d like to comment on a few things.

Changes to Aircraft BRs in Ground Realistic Battles
Currently, many low and medium BR fighters up to 8.0 are extremely effective in this mode compared to attack aircraft and bombers, so as part of these changes, the Battle Ratings of many of them will be increased.

At the same time, high BR fighters, starting at 8.0, feature many aircraft without fire-and-forget armament, or any guided weapons at all. Therefore, compared to their counterparts and the threats presented in the mode, such as advanced SPAAGs and SAMs, these aircraft are underperforming, so their Battle Ratings in this mode will be reduced.

We welcome your suggestions for adjusting aircraft BRs in Tank Realistic Battles!

T20
Despite how its attributes may look in a vacuum, this tank has very high performance and is played extensively. It significantly outperforms the vast majority of tanks at its rank, that includes light, medium and heavy tanks. We are looking into the options to reduce the tank’s effectiveness without further increasing its Battle Rating. We’re not currently announcing a BR increase today, but it is an option we’re considering for the future.

Ho-Ri removal
We plan to remove the Japanese Ho-Ri SPGs (both variants) from the Japanese research tree and from sale.

The Ho-Ri Production will be removed from the research tree, just as the Panther II and Flakpanzer 341 were previously removed. Players who own it or have put research points into it will keep it. Similarly, the premium Ho-Ri Prototype will no longer be available for purchase, but will remain in the possession of those who have purchased it already. We don’t have plans to make them available for research or purchase again in the future.

These vehicles were added quite early on in the Japanese research tree to fill gaps and ensure smoother progression. Their accuracy has long been debated, and since its inclusion numerous new vehicles have been added to the research tree around the Battle Ratings the Ho-Ri once filled. New information on the Ho-Ri has since emerged following its inclusion in the game, and it can now be confidently concluded that both vehicles were created based on questionable technical research and contain inaccuracies even as variants of unrealized designs. This does not diminish their importance to the game; they are part of the history of the Japanese research tree, filled their role well, and we can at least say that their implementation was an interesting experience. However, the time has indeed come to retire these controversial vehicles.

After the final version of the Battle Rating changes goes into effect, we plan to have a one-week discount for the Ho-Ri Prototype, and remove both vehicles on the 1st of September. We will share more details later, including right in the client in the tech tree. Make sure to check the Japanese tech tree from time to time to make sure you don’t miss it!

Can we stop sliding tanks back and forth, shifting issues up and down a BR range every few months, and instead make the top of the BR range higher, so vehicles can be spread out better.
So, make G91's, a slow fighter with a very limited missile fight against swarms of f104's, one of the fastest planes, with decent missiles and a massive gun.
How about decompress 9.0-10.0?
As a matter of fact, can you guys give some love to Cold War vehicles?
Make 7.0-9.0 less frustrating? Both ground and air...
This looks good to me.
Ayit moved up to 10.0

F-14A IRIAF moved up to 13.7

Wyvern moved up to 5.3

A6M5 Ko and Otsu moved up to 6.0

VL Pyörremyrsky moved up to 5.7

M.B. 157 moved up to 3.7

But those clear as day p2w, overperforming and blatantly under tiered Su-30 Premiums in USSR and China?

Still 13.3

Top tier is 14.7 for planes, it should be that for tanks too. I did a BR decompression suggestion on the old forums many years ago in the 2010s, and predicted that ~15.0 would be the perfect stopping place for top tier tanks — compression is a lot better than it was in the 2010s but it could be better as everyone has shown. If they decompressed 6.3+ to a 14.7-15.0 system, that would make balance so much more enjoyable for the game.
Think the A34 comet tank BR should be changed to 5.3 to reflect thats its ment to be at least a bit better than the A30 Challenger tank that it replaced .
Okay so you put "all" the Leopard 1A5 variants (you forgot the C2A1) from 9.3 to 9.0 but all the nato equivalents that fit the bill of 105mm, DM33, full stab and laser rangefinder like the Strv 105, Type 74G, OF 40 MTCA and AMX 30 Super stay at 9.3. That makes zero sense at all.

And once again are Zero's going up in br, with the A6M5ko going to be 6.0 soon. The same 6.0 where the F2G sits with 150 km/h max speed as well as the Ta 152 H with 200 kp/h top speed more. Why are Japan players getting punished for newbies playing into the one single thing that makes the Zero strong. The millisecond a team actually uses their brains and runs away/boom n zooms a Zero, playing these things becomes a rather bad playing experience.

You guys have loading screen tips, it probably wouldn't be too hard to add one that goes "Do not turn fight against a Zero, you will loose"
Su-30MKK and Su-30MK2 to 13.7 when

Seriously, Zeros and Spits being punished for bad players existing. This is why using stats for balancing isn't ideal.

Game doesn't need every vehicle to win exactly the same. If players make bad choices that play into a certain vehicle and that alone makes it look OP, leave it alone.
Hey, maybe you can fix the spawn problem, by spreading the spawn out on the field, instead... You know, like most PvP games have figured out last decade... Just a suggestion of focus shift...
A few issues I see:

1) Nerfing fighter aircraft, especially turn-fighters, on a large scale at lower BRs. As if GRB isn't plagued by CAS enough, you worsen the best tool there is to stop them from running rampant every game. But I guess the Yak-9K abusers will blow you kisses for that.

2) Not raising the F-89s? You gotta be kidding me. Those things, especially the 89B, are ridiculously outperforming every other aircraft at 7.0. If they don't dominate an air battle then only because their pilot is crap.

3) Raising BRs on British 75mm tanks after you gave them the ahistorical M61 shell is awful. I'd much rather you took that nonsense away again and left the vehicles where they are. A Churchill has no business being at 5.0 when it's this bad and has so many counters.

4) IS-2 at 6.0 is a bad joke. They are good enough where they are, even if their armour isn't pulling off ridiculous stalinium tricks. They have no business seal-clubbing 5.0 lineups. Did you just feel the need to also give the Russian tree a handout after yo-yo-ing the Tiger II P to 6.3 again?
Which is also ridiculous btw. Just decompress the bloody tree already instead of shoving vehicles back and forth depending not on how good they are, but how bad their users are at using them right.

5) Raising the Pucara so soon seems like too much of a quick shot, and is probably unneccessary. You only just nerfed its most problematic weapon into the ground, maybe look at how well it does now first before raising its BR? With the Pamperos no longer being laser-straight they seem to have lost a lot of their threat from what I am seeing.
I don't think the aircraft warrants a raise in BR now. It's a pretty bad aircraft without the Pamperos.
Until you remove half the russian tank tree and airplane line with their paper vehicles, removing the Ho-RI vehicles does nothing except kill the ability for Japan to survive and get kills against broken Russian vehicles. Anything but nerf russian vehicles and make playing Japan a worse grind than the British tech tree.
SU-30 still hasnt gone up
Just stop moving stuff around and decompress.
KT being thrown to 6.3 AGAIN because of idiots who play it and T26E5 going up to 7.0 because its mostly played by better players YET M26 still being 6.7 because its played by experienced players speaks all about balancing in WT.
Lowering the reloadrate by almost a full second warrants a BR increase on the Panzer IV´s by 0.3, at the very least the F2. Other Nations with 5-6 second reloads like the P40, Chi-Nu or AMX-13 (FL-11) either have far less potent guns or in case of the AMX-13 (FL-11) sits at 4.3.
