If you look at all the little details, especially vehicles that didn't move up and how they open new lineup options, it seems they put a lot of thought into this.
I've found that there are quite a few of what I would call "mini-lineups" that opened up, where vehicles that were previously completely useless now have a place at their own BR.
From what I've experienced so far, there is a lot more variety now in terms of where in the BR range you play, instead of the old "full uptier" or "full downtier" all the time.
Planes are often a special case, unless we get separate BR for ground and air modes.
Until then, the same answer as in every other "nerf CAS" thread applies. It is a combined arms game, so the BR of a plane is decided by effectiveness in the combined arms mode, performance in air-only mode is secondary concern.
The important bit is they are not facing things anymore that can't properly deal with them.
It's a good start, of course there is still a lot of work to be done, but realistically trying to do it all in one go would have been impossible.
The approach they lined out, going with the current changes and see how they play out in game, seems like a sound decision to me.
Might need some minor adjustments after the data is in, and once that is done they can do the same again with a lower BR threshold, moving everything above up by one step.
If you ask me, it wouldn't have hurt to insert two steps instead of one, but I can see why the conservative approach was taken, a lot less headache that way.
Either way, we don't need BR 13 as bad as we need separate BRs for planes in air and ground.
Either way, basic pedagogy suggests positive reinforcement works best, so I'll focus on the good things and minor improvements.
Endless ranting and whining will just get us ignored.
Reinforcing a general attitude of "always the same five ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and moaning, just ignore them and do nothing"?
What we need to keep in mind is, we are a small minority, the vast majority of players is not complaining.
