For those who are out of the loop (and to stop the triggered mods from removing this critical post like oh-so-many others), gaijin a bit back said that they had fixed the cancel-but-you're-now-in-a-match issue. when you're matchmaking and you click cancel, then you get put into a match? yknow that thing that still happens? and they said they fixed it? pls.

My friend and I that play together joke all that time that if we want to get into a match faster, all we gotta do is cancel. It's almost ALWAYS a guaranteed match start up.

same here lmao. idk if it's like a gimmick at this point, a la the 'removed herobrine' thing in minecraft some years back? genuinely clueless. volumetric shell issues were another one they said they fixed, and yet......

It did work for a little while.

Honestly, glad it's back to the way it was before, instant matches ftw!

If you reeeeally don't want to drop into a match after you quit, just Alt+F4 out. If you do it before entering a loading screen, you'll suffer no repercussions.

My favourite part is where it throws me into already running matches that way. There was space in a running match? THEN WHY WAS I WAITING?!

In my opinion, their "fix" never worked, the odds for their window to cancel shows up 5% of the time at most and even when you do cancel it, it never works anyway. I just went through this process multiple times in the last 2 days and out of 20 times, only once the window to cancel showed and when I canceled the "join battle" it still threw me into the battle despite me canceling it from the search and the second window.

It is not a "feature" and was never intended to be a "feature." It's an obnoxious goof and as OP stated no it has not been "fixed." To say it's a "feature" is nonsensical. Hands down. If they wanted a "feature" like that it would be made clear. There is no rational reason to hide a "get in to battle quick feature" behind something that the player would RATIONALLY EXPECT TO BE A FULL CANCEL.

Stop the nonsense comments about it being a "feature." Use your brain.
