War Thunder is sometimes detected as a false positive. Report it as a false positive in your avast and it will work and be fine. I've had to do this myself.
it is not stupid to ask for other opinions :-)
thanks for your feedback blokes!
today again avast warning about aces.exe

It is not a question about who has got a problem or not.
It is a statement about a fact to inform others experiencing the same.
One solution is to exclude the file from scanning, which should only be done if you are fairly sure it is a false alarm ;-)
I like my avast, it does its job quite well usally. Only two false alarms in the many years I am using it. Indeed there are many posts about warnings on the war thunder aces.exe with avast. Makes me curious whats going on.
I had today from Avast-Anti Virus a warn about Win32:Dropper-gen Virus in the aces.exe.

Yes, me too I now excluded the folder. I checked the file with virustotal. Only 2/52 antivirus detect something. Probably false positve or shady programming technique ;-)
<engage sceptic mode>probably has a hidden payload designed to capture all your online banking details, user accounts and passwords and those secret hidden camera picture of your girlfriends best buddy the day she borrowed your shower...</engage sceptic mode>
but seriously manually adding anantivirus exception for something like this is not good practice, it will probably be patched again tomorrow and the "false positive" if indeed it is one will go away....

AVAST forum offline due to attack

The AVAST forum is currently offline and will remain so for a brief period. It was hacked over this past weekend and user nicknames, user names, email addresses and hashed (one-way encrypted) passwords were compromised. Even though the passwords were hashed, it could be possible for a sophisticated thief to derive many of the passwords. If you use the same password and user names to log into any other sites, please change those passwords immediately. Once our forum is back online, all users will be required to set new passwords as the compromised passwords will no longer work.

This issue only affects our community-support forum. No payment, license, or financial systems or other data were compromised.

We are now rebuilding the forum and moving it to a different software platform. When it returns, it will be faster and more secure. This forum for many years has been hosted on a third-party software platform and how the attacker breached the forum is not yet known. However, we do believe that the attack just occurred and we detected it essentially immediately.

We realize that it is serious to have these usernames stolen and regret the concern and inconvenience it causes you. However, this is an isolated third-party system and your sensitive data remains secure.

All the best,
Ondrej Vlcek
COO AVAST Software

After reading this
i think ill pass on this on if they got hacked it will happen again

@wolfski: avast warns every few days about aces.exe; it is only practical to change the antivirus software or exclude the folder it if you want to continue using avast. (I will continue to observe aces.exe with totalvirus and exclude the folder)
Dont use Avast yet my gmae keeps not launching and its already bad enough with the random Lag splikes as is from the last mini patch
Avast is one best anti-virus softwares, even it gives problem with some unreal base games. I am sorry, that they dont find result how to stop messing with aces.exe. :)

dont care they got hacked end of story for me
Hacked anti virus BAD NEWS
Not just files that are detected as being 'false positive' but IP addresses that are being blocked by Malware-Bytes and/or BitDefender during updates.

So my Question is why it a false positive? whats in the exe that Triggers it? Cant they remove it from the code? Just asking I have alowed other programs to run with a false positive when suggested to let it thru and got screwed later. Guess what they were free to play but pay to win just like this is.Just ignoring it sounds like trouble to me but thats me .Hope you all fair well.

I used to use avast but it seemed to give me an alert for every game i installed while i has avast installed on my PC.
It was some time ago i was running vista but since i changed anti virus i haven't had any alerts on newly installed games at all.
Now using Trend micro titanium maximum security without any issues as above.
