Just check the volume control to see if windows is being moronic again and dropping volume just for war thunder to 0 for no reason. Other than that I haven't the faintest idea.
As you said Bill, if you have a device plugged in, and then take it out - WT won't recognise that, and output the audio onto the desired device.
I can imagine it would be very annoying actually for those who just want chat through a headset, and then game sounds from some speakers.
In response to the OP, try and test the sound system with an ipod or something, and check first that it isnt the system that's gone
Checked all setting, other devices, other games and they all work perfectly.
Ever since 1.39 update major sound issues.
I can get music but nothing else.
Makes it hard to fight when you can't hear engine, guns or other planes.
deleted game and downloaded again. sound now works with speakers but not headphones lol
Worked fine for me after that
