Why do German bombers suck?
Seriously, I'm flying a HE 111 and some little Ishak with his puny 7.62mm guns RIP OFF MY ENTIRE WING WITH A SINGLE BURST. HOW? WHY?

Yes, but since 100lbs or 50kg [X2, X4] (60kg ground bombs japanese) bombs are not good for medium tanks and upwards, (and they are the only ones that count to vehicle stats/losses) its a disadvantage in your flights Characteristic, too much to benefit from that imho. Howitzer, AA and Armored Cars you can also shot down with your (even 7,7mm) MG.

Light pillboxes count on some maps and are affected by 50kgs, and medium tanks die to 100kg/250lb bombs. Boats too.
ah yeah, youre right, forgot about those (light pillbox and boats) :) But i was talking about low bomb load, 100lbs/50kg in jet fighters, whic hare often X2 or X4, with them you cant kill medium tanks.

jets aren't supposed to kill tanks. Well, except for the arado.

Don't tell Hitler that, he wanted the ME-262 to be a fighter bomber. Then again by 1943 he was already going nuts from all his methamphetamine supplements and other "medicines."

Actually the Germans were working on a jet dive bomber that was pretty sophisticated, until the soviets overran the factory they were building the prototypes at.

Yes, the Henschel Hs 132. :)
I did a 20 page paper analyzing the Luftwaffe for school last year.

yes, thats why i said its useless to take boms with you in your jet if it have a pay load of 100lbs (50kg), if you cant kill medium tanks which most of the time only counts for winning. Cos you dont need to kill AA, etc. with 50kg bombs as you can kill them also with your smallest MG.

Not everyone plays jets all the time :P

And I'd rather use a couple small bombs as I pass AAA or a bridge or somethign than wase MG/Cannon ammo on them.
Waste? Because of the costs for ammo or rather because when you do, you are in a bad spot and very vulnerable? ;) Destroying AAA, etc. wont help you win the game, but gives your lions (not talking about free RP, lol) :D

I play RB ;P
Using up ammo = have to fly to base sooner to reload.

When shooting soft ground (AAA/Artillery mostly) I tend to just use very short bursts from within 300-400m. Usually only takes 2 bursts of a fraction of a second to kill things that close, depening on plane. I also account for bullet travel time to hit them so I don't waste ammo by shooting it after it's already dead.

I only do this in a few situations though. Usually if i'm going to die and have no hope of flying to base or being rescured I try to squeeze out some more lions and RP before I get shot to bits, or if we're winning by a vast margin and it's better to kill ground than swarm the last enemy (possibly knocking into allies or blocking shots and risking the same happening to me.)

Well the Russians IMO are very noob friendly, people who know what they're doing will do even better in them. I gave up on the Brits because of the awful stock grind. You are stuck with the WORST biplanes in the game with only 2 slow firing weapons. I already have a Hurricane but after I get rammed by some idiot I am pretty much useless.
You dare mock the power of the Nimrod mk1? The thing rips ♥♥♥♥ to pieces with any practice.

You misquoted me, that part was by Brown.

This was me:

I had a difficult time with britain as well, at first. I'd advise to start working on the Blenheim line first. You get some good survivability, good gunnage at the tier, and it leads to the Beaufighter.

Most of the british (non-heavy) fighters are HEAVILY reliant on your gun convergence due to many of them having the guns in the wings. I'd advise looking up a guide on this, as well as fiddling with it to see what convergeance you prefer. There's a video in Bis18marck70's guide on here that explains it, and the Pilot Sniping guide also has a neat trick you can use. But with the lower tier Hurricanes and Spits (with only 7.7mm guns) you'll have a tougher time as the convergance likely needs to be 400 meters or less (due to the bullets losing velocity quickly.)
Where is this discussion going? It started from whining about how Russians rape the German bombers, and now we're onto talking about Brit planes? Come on...

The only german Heavy Bomber had engine problems. So, anyone feel like having their engine die mid flight?

In later models the germans installed new improved engines on the Heinkel He 177 replacing the old thus eliminating the problem with them catching fire!
You were shot by glorious motherland ishak fighter who comes from space to fire Stalinite-cored bullets that destroy planes which are definately-not-less-powerful almost instantly.

Da.

Unfortunately Stalin's rage burns too brightly in it's engine, and the Ishak is doomed if it lights on fire :(
