Hiding in Realistic Battles
The last 3 RB I fought, we really bashed the enemy team but there was always 1 plane hiding somewhere in the clouds, dragging the game on forever...

One should have the possibility to capture the enemy base or something because this behaviour is just annoying.

And don't come with: That's realistic or tactical... Of course, but is still a game and I want to have fun playing it and not have to search someone for 15 minutes...

Well that's why Realistic Battles also have other objectives mentioned on the map screen (hold M while playing, they're listed under the map itself) - he can either hide off in god-knows where while you go for an objective win, or he can try to stop you and actually fight.

Destroy ground targets, kill enemy AI bombers, etc. You'll win eventually.

Yeah but most objectives are about destroying ground targets. And if you are a fighter you can't really do much. And most missions do not have enemy AI bombers.

Well he has to run out of fuel eventually, so just stay between where he is likely to be and his airbase. Simple enough really.

This. If you can't damage the ground targets, either escort the guys who can or get yourself in position somewhere near the enemy airfield. Not too close though, those flak guns'll tear you to shreds. Don't worry about being close enough to have their name pop up, just use the old Mark I Eyeball and do a little pixel-spotting - unlike World of Tanks, planes are always rendered no matter the distance. So even if you're too high up/far away to see their name appear, you might still be able to see the plane yourself.

In addition, check above/inside the cloud layer and towards the sun - all of those make a plane harder to spot and he might be using some or all of those to stay hidden.

It sucks if you're in a Spitfire IIa though, and only have 20 minutes of fuel... :/

Please fix this. You (or Steam from the looks of it) really messed up what both of us said.
