Whats the point of/how to use the italian R3?
So i have been playing Italy recently and just got the R3 but im having trouble understanding its use...

SPAA role- i thought originally that having a fast firing auto-cannon would be mean that it would be great for SPAA yet it seems to overheat extremely fast and i feel like im reloading more than im shooting, when i do hit an aircraft it seems it takes multiple shots just to bring them down (unless their a bomber) and so i feel like its a very niche AA

Scout Vehicle/flanker role - I thought it being small and fast that it would make a great scouting vehicle yet it has no scout ability for intelligence, It has enough speed and manoeuvrability to make it one, yet with most maps being open fields/low cover i feel like im being sniped before i can actually capture points and when i do capture points im wondering what to do after, because you can't fight ANY enemies head on unless their AFK or super squishy and i can't flank as im having to compete against medium tanks whom i can't pen

I dunno it just seems like no matter how i use the R3 every battle both against ground and air feels like a losing fight

It's very effective as an anti-air in arcade mode, in RB it's too high BR due to the ridiculous speed. Most people used to use it to rush cap points for the tasks during events before they switched to the mission score system.
When this thing first came out, it was like 3.7 for GRB and it was very strong against ground and air targets, right now its a bit overtiered. But its still quite capable in AA role, and against ground targets just harass those you can't pen, break the tracks/MG/barrel and just run, you'll get an assist for them anyway.

Ah okay, i don't play arcade mode and so i'm assuming thats when its more effective, And cap rushing seems the way to play it but its after that where i just feel useless

Yeah i figured general harassment was the way to go but i get put against USA and all their tanks seem to have 50 cals that pen and kill me within a second :( rough life, i think 4.7-5.3 would have been a good b.r range, it just seems crazy to me that it seems to be flopping quite a bit, After googling today on how to play it i saw people were able to pen tigers, shermans and t-34s with no problem before i saw the video was outdated and apparently they were using some bonkers ammunition that is no longer in the game at least stat wise
