The question is do you know the aircraft you are flying actually has a limited WEP
Some WEP is limited, some isnt, its not just a single system but refers to a variety of different power settings, water injection, nitrous oxide injection, water methanol injection
some aircraft can go forever if you can keep the temps under control
Therein is part of the problem. There should be a countdown timer if it applies. Just like your fuel timer.
Are you saying that if you keep the temps down, you will not run out of WEP power in RB or Sim?
I am going to try this on a few fighters like the spit mkII and mk xiv and see if it works.
But for some aircraft the WEP is just an unsustainable power setting that damages the engine, so can be maintained because no warthunder match lasts long enough for the aircraft to tear itself apart, nor do we have to worry about the kind of wear that forces the poor mechanic to have to disassemble the whole thing
since WT dosnt model the WEP with its own injections its just extra engine power
I actually just realised the old climb chart includes WEP times, I’ve only ever used it for optimal climb rates

According to that your fw190 Dora’s have about 30 minutes for example. Probably just don’t get RB matches lasting that long
I noticed this too with the Dora's. They just go and go.
Tried it a while back. Did not work.
I just want to look it up and write it down on my knee pad.
