WEP time.
Where can I look up how much WEP time a platform has in RB and Sim? Not being able to estimate the time remaining for WEP is a handicap.

No consistent sources unfortunately, going to have to do some research on the particular aircraft you are flying.

The question is do you know the aircraft you are flying actually has a limited WEP

Some WEP is limited, some isnt, its not just a single system but refers to a variety of different power settings, water injection, nitrous oxide injection, water methanol injection

some aircraft can go forever if you can keep the temps under control
yeh like the other person, I just go by Temps of oil and water.

Therein is part of the problem. There should be a countdown timer if it applies. Just like your fuel timer.
sadly its just basedd on engine temp that varies since higher altitiute and cold maps ur engine stays colder usally. If u just have engine temps on u can manage ur WEP

Are you saying that if you keep the temps down, you will not run out of WEP power in RB or Sim?

I am going to try this on a few fighters like the spit mkII and mk xiv and see if it works.

not the case, the one I can think of off the top of my head is the water methanol injection on the p51h5. You have about 7 minutes above 2000hp before it runs out. You can keep trying to WEP afterwards but it won’t reach the same power

But for some aircraft the WEP is just an unsustainable power setting that damages the engine, so can be maintained because no warthunder match lasts long enough for the aircraft to tear itself apart, nor do we have to worry about the kind of wear that forces the poor mechanic to have to disassemble the whole thing

well for relistic ARB yes since my Fw190 can keep going constantly in wep.
since WT dosnt model the WEP with its own injections its just extra engine power

depends on the model

I actually just realised the old climb chart includes WEP times, I’ve only ever used it for optimal climb rates

According to that your fw190 Dora’s have about 30 minutes for example. Probably just don’t get RB matches lasting that long

I noticed this too with the Dora's. They just go and go.

Download WRTI, it has a widget to display WEP time remaining for the plane you are currently flying if it has water methanol injection

Tried it a while back. Did not work.

I just want to look it up and write it down on my knee pad.
