M41A1 Walker Bulldog: Favorite Tank?
Hey guys!

Introduction
In this thread I want to talk about the M41A1 Walker Bulldog, a light tank available with the US Army. This tank is probably my favorite tank next to the Leopard 1: it's fast, lethal and fun to drive. Lets get a constructive discussion going here!

Reference Video
Here is a reference video to which I'll be referring several times throughout this post (Should be available in 1080p soon). That way it is easier for me to describe what I mean with certain situations. Support at my channel is always appreciated!: http://www.youtube.com/user/imjustacowlol

Pros and Cons
Pros:
-Very fast, making it a great tank for flanking
-Great cannon capable of dealing massive damage (see video at 05:30)
*I use the APDS ammo, which in my expirience works best for anti-tank work. (see video at 05:30)
-It's got some very good camos
*I use one of the bicolor camos myself, or the winter camo when playing the Finland map
-It can call in artillery
-Even though it has barely got any armor; whatever armor it has got is angled quite well

Cons:
-Slow reverse speed (see video at 13:20)
-Even though the armor is angled very well, if your opponent knows how to shoot he'll most likely take you out without too many problems
-Slow uphill speed (see video at 06:00)
-It gets to face the Tiger II (H), which can be very tough from time to time
-Relatively large target

Strategy
I have used this strategy several times before for the vehicles that I play; but I generally like to flank the enemy with the M41 Walker Bulldog. This especially works well on maps such as Eastern Europe. The combination of high mobility & good urban cover definitely allows for great succes on that map. There is one major catch though: you don't see the enemies coming either, so you might actually drive straight into them. In the video I also had the Carpathians map. On maps such as those I like to go locations from which you have an overview over a large portion of the map, while still enjoying the cover of trees around you. This allows for rapidly taking out opponents such as seen in the video at 05:30.

I'm definitely excited to see what you guys think about this vehicle! Please don't hestitate to join the conversation!

Why do I make such topics, with a video in it?
People have recently been accusing me of trying to advertise my channel on the WT forums & Steam forums. I want to go ahead and say that this is not true. I have been doing YouTube for nearly 2 years now, and I have only got 355 subscribers. If I would have done it for the fame, or for the views, I would've made sure that I had gotten more subscribers.

The reason that I make such topics, is because I enjoy talking with you guys. I like to learn more about the vehicles I play, I like to see what strategies you guys have, I like to hear about your opinions. It's just something that appeals to me: discussing with you guys.

Hopefully this clears some things up. Cheers!

Should it be my first US BR 6.3 vehicle or should I go for Jackson first?

In terms of protection, I would go with the M41A1. The Jacksons open turret is a great target for aircraft. In terms of firepower, the M36 is a great choise at first due to the 90mm gun, but the M41A1 can get APDS which is extreamly deadly for its tier. But the M41A1 has a higher chance of setting off the fuse for explosive filled shells should one penetrate, often resulting in instant death.

Personaly, I would go with the M41A1 they are both nimble little buggers.
