Air driven sirens.

I am not sure , I think it has to do with the sirens that it makes when diving.

never heard them using the sirens

They are for the dive siren. It only starts up at around 350km/h(ish). Go to the test range, get nice and high up (1000m is a good point) and just dive. They are only on the first Stuka model though. It's a scary thing to hear in tank battles (plus the whistle of the bomb itself) if used correctly.

Like luftwaffles pointed out, they were used as a scare tactic for infantry and whoever else could hear it.

A siren to scare infantry

Kewl... German brains.

Last year I suggested that Airplanes have a way of scaring any unwanted ships near your country (in disputed territory) where you can set a plane to automatically break the sound barrier as you pass them (touchscreen op).

China circling Japanese Island chain for example.

So many ideas, so few people pay.

They should be able to hear it, that's the whole point of them. I've heard them in GF battles when they dive from far up, and in air battles when I dive with a friend.
