Linking Your PC Account To The PS4

I read the FAQ:
Q - Can I use my existing PC-account on PS4?
A - You have to create a new account for PS4 and can’t use your existing account.

I understand that I cannot do this, however, the ability to link an existing account from one platform to another is the industry standard.

Not being able to link accounts is not only a slap in the face for those of us who have paid a lot of money for the game but is a deterrent for playing it at all on my PS4. Why would I start playing on the PS4 if I have no benefits for what I have paid for and have to star with basic planes?

I read somewhere that this was Sony's decision. Is that true? If so I will take it up with them.

If I could link my account to play this with my Playstation friends I would have a motive to pay more money for Eagles but there is no way I would invest a cent in packs and Eagles for a game I am already heavily invested in. In fact, I will only play on my PC unless I can link my account.

Having high level players on the PS4 would be incentive for new member to purchase packs and Eagles, therefor making more money.

Sadly it was Sony, because they don't want fully loaded PC players coming to PS4 and not buying anything since they already own it all, or using the PC version to buy stuff and then playing on the PS4 all day, thus making them no money in the process.

Since cross-play is out, if it's not too inconvenient, you can still play with your PSN friends and have the full game experience.

I had heard that but can't get confirmation of that. Do you have a source?
The irony is that I would but Eagles if I could use it for my PS4 account and I would encourage my PS4 friends to play it. I have many more PS4 friends than PC friends.
I don't recommend this game anymore.

Last I heard they were 'working on it'. Maybe Sony will change their stance or Gaijin will work something out - there'll be serious problems for all developers of cross platform titles in the future if the issue isn't resolved soon.

I hope they are working on it. Both companies had to know if would be a big kick in the teeth for people already paying money. I guess the best thing we can do know is make it very well know to as many forums as possible that this bad business practice is going on. Neither company wants to look sleazy so bringing awareness to this sleazy business practice is the best we can do.
It's definitely not a cross platform limitation or coding issue. They have already done the hard part, this is just a money grab that will backlash.

But as I have pointed out; Their mistake in that is that paying members are more likely to pay again. There will be new plane and tanks packs and even premium memberships expire. Sony doesn't want the devoted paying member's money?
I still am suspicious that it's not just Sony. I think Gaijin thought people would pay for both.

if they can come to an agreement of some sort , even a small account linking fee would suit them and the gamers because this game is good but as it stands now i will not start a new account or play the pc version anymore ( i want to spend more money on this game but if gajjin and sony cannot reach agreement ( it does not matter the who but ) then i will be donr with this game completely (Removed) PS--- I really do enjoy this game and want to play more but like I said I'm done withit till it is resolved

I agree. Once my premium account has expired I will stop playing. I already cut down to one play of each country 2 nights a week (planes only) and will not consider putting one more dime into this until I can link my account. This fall through Q1 of 2015 the PS4 will be getting a lot amazing titles and if it's not resolved prior to then I probably won't bother linking it.
Also, I heard there are a couple of games in the works that will more than rival War Thunder that are set to be rolled out when the first official PS4 flight controller will be released. (One is a space shooter and the other is supposed to be modern and historical.)

I am not sure where the agument on "buying" things came from, but it is NOT what Gaijin officials were saying back when this all went down intially.

If I remember correct this all comes down to authentication.

A PS4 player has to use the SAME EMAIL as the one tied to the PSN account. The PS4 players PSN info is what gets used for the new WT account.

Obviously, this is very easy to work in one direction (PS4>WT>PC) but it is not easilly done te other way (PC>WT>PS4).

I just created a sub-account under my in my PS4 that used the gmail i used to log into WT... didnt work... even 2 years later. Heres a question... so i have WT running off of steam, and my WT account is tied to my steam account. If i got steam on the PS4, could i theoretically log in the same way i start up the game on my PC?

Some PC Gamers aren't just PC Gamers. they can be ps4 gamers. but just because they have a game on their account for steam doesn't mean it may be for that system. we should be able to at least link the accounts

and Sony havnt budged an inch since then. this is old news, sony policy says they own any accounts created through the ps network and while you can use a ps4 created account on PC you cannot aquire any items for an account created through the ps network anywhere but through the ps4 store. for a simlar reason they wont let an account not locked to their store on their network because they cant control or get a cut of any purchaces. nothing is going to budge them on what they consider a threat to their revinue
