GAIJIN... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH... FATAL FREEZE DETECTED MY A**
I love this game...

But it is UNPLAYABLE

Patch after patch states "several crashes have been fixed"...

Yet with EVERY patch playability gets WORSE

I now wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, and do you know what I see?

FATAL FREEZE DETECTED

WTF is going ON?!?!?

This is by FAR the most ANNOYING bug I've EVER experienced

I have all drivers updated

I have a competent and competitive rig

I have played with resolutions

I have changed other graphical settings

I have consulted the forums

Mines gets frozen every time I try to go to "To Battle," I even switched networks with my neighbor and it still won't work!!! Before I had this problem I had no issues, no crashes, no bugs. But after update 1.5 things went to hell. This is happening on my mac I don't know if this is happening to other players...

I had this happen a couple of times and I think something is wrong with game, video turn on. Changing it to dx11 fixed one problem, but i am not sure if this is the same problem. Another problem was an internet disconnect (and power drop) locally while I was flying, that seemed to be log in related as I was stuck being able to log back in but not be able to play. I eventually figured out to log in and than exit the game, to fix the problem. It's as if something was left hanging from the internet connect/power drop event...

It is not related to hardware problems. I could play for almost a year with GTX660 on Windows and Arch linux machines without problems at all. After update to 1.45 with newer relase of the game, i have problem with "freez detected" for Windows and Arch linux, also with native linux client. It is random, sometimes can happen after hours of playing, and sometimes like ago, as soon as the game was launched (windows machine). I tried to change resolution, lower it, play in windowed mode, change graphic settings to a low spec (I5-4670K with GTX660 is more than eought for this game because i could also play it smooth with highest settings with AMD X4-955 and GTX260), change drivers, kernels - the same thing happens all the time. It is problem with the game engine or even server. Right now i can say that this game is unplayable. I tried to run it even with wine and playonlinux, with native clients, with prefixes for 32 and 64 architectures, and even on Windows it happens...but on Windows it happens a lot more than on linux, and on windows after freezing i can do only reset...on linux i can kill apps/process with sudo kill -9 command and i don't have to do a reset. I say it again - i was able to play it for over a year with GTX660 without problems, not i'm barelay able to do anything while on the other machine, that use still GTX260 and mentioned X4-955, where graphic card does not have DX11 and the game runs in winxp mode because of lack of DX11 support, game runs fine...but with never grapic card, nvidia card, that has DX11 feature it crashes all the time - what is more astonishing that it also crashes on linux where is opengl being used, not dx at all. My computer had done many test to see if it is a problem with hardware (about 9 hours of memtest86 testing; more than haour of 3DMARK testing; stress prime 95 using avx and blend for almost 2 hours, unigine benchamrks, nvm test - all completed without errors, problems). The only problem my computer has it is with this game. What is more funny? Gajin other game, about planes, Wings of Prey runs fine on both machines: windows and linux...lol.

it cannot be the hardware... i got a brand new computer before last update... and then i got fatal freeze after when the new update came out and i tried to play the game...

Your computer must not be good dude. I find servers just fine, I have not experienced any fatal errors or crashes. It must be a problem on your end.

it is not the servers, it is the game itself... i cannot enter my hangar, i just get to the log in screen ingame and then it freezes...

well i tried that to but having a rigg that can play on ultra dosent feel right to play with on low... and under <20 FPS either...

Putting issues such as this here is not the best way to gain support. We do have a Tech Mod who assists where they can, however the best place to put crash reports and gain support would be Client and Launcher Crashes[forum.warthunder.com]

Please also read this Guidelines for posting Client & Launcher Crashes[forum.warthunder.com] before submitting your report so that all the information is provided for the Tech Mods to begin work on resolving this.

As the OP of this thread from a year ago, I discovered what my problem was... Drumroll....

Hardware related... Yup I couldn't believe it either, after all that ranting and raving, my computer didnt have adequate cooling combined with dust accumulation my processor was overheating to the point of a "fatal freeze". try opening your case and pointing an oscilating room fan directly at that motherboard and see if it helps, il bet itl help most people here. Good luck all, see you next year
