Fix Helicopter airfield defense
I have no idea why a jet can spawn camp helicopter for an entire ground RB match. Rolands should be available at the helicopter spawn not some WW2 SPAAs that can't hit anything.

If they were removed, helis would probably have an initial airspawn like aircraft do, they’d just have to go back to the remaining helipad closer to the airfield to rearm. You know, instead of spawning, dumping ATGMs and planting back down again to rearm and just repeating ~8KM from the battlefield.

I'd be fine with better heli base anti air if they move the heli spawn further back closer to the airfield spawn and limit the close one to helicopters than aren't carrying any missiles. Otherwise KA-50s will become even more invincible. Most people just camp hovering above the helipad and they'd be an even bigger pain in the ass than they already are if they added better anti air.

As a heli player I understand both sides. At one side is the heli player that can get camped by a bi plane without the AA caring at all, on the other hand is a missile slinger that's out of range for SPAAGs and thus gets free kills for little effort.

I'd love to see if the heli pad would get 1 or 2 killmeters further away from the battlefield but with heli pad AA being being buffed to back in the days when they actually do some damage as well as giving it accuracy based on the enemy's range so they don't get shot down while just trying to take a turn for a new strafing run on tanks

For Heli BR 8.0 to 9.7 keep both Helipads.. because those helis have AGM ranges of 3-3.75km.. anything above that remove the helipad, AGMs will start to have ranges of 6km and up.. so if their Helipad is away 8km they will have to move and cant hover above it to hope for a hit and repair. Also that means that they'll always have to move (even if its just a small bit) and get into AA range

edit: add additional Helipad to the Airfield for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anything that carries Vikhr

I enjoy it everytime a cancer 50 player crashes because i camp the helipads
I would love to drive up with my m247 gepard/shilka and just kill you the sec you spawn.

I wouldn't say free kills. I already killed a Heli just by spamming R on it with my tank, while it was trying to kill me with AGMs

I even sniped Helis off their Helipad from the battlefield

1. I despise helis so its good thing.
2. this isnt a bug, its intentional. Heli AA doesn't do any damage and only serves as a warning for incoming jets. Heli AA damage was taken away in an update long ago.
3. Modern helis are very well capable of defending themselves against jets without any outside help.

Lets be real tho, how are they warning shots if they are never going to hit. The more often I shoot next to someone, the less likely they are afraid that I will hit them. May as well remove them.

Yeah but if you are a stock heli and need to rely on rocket running then it's kinda trash if only the far away pad is available. I kinda wanna have a closer heli pad at top tier where only helis without agms can spawn

If you don't suspect anything and decide to chance it, that's on you deciding to chance it.

Helis have spawn protection too last I flew one, as long as they don't move (just like ground vehicles), gives you enough time to realise there's someone attempting to camp and either fight them or leave that helipad

Warning for you, it shows you where an enemy jet is if you follow the tracers, and tells you one is there (something you can also check by spectating a player on your team, if you see the AA firing there's an enemy near the helipad)
