Odd just goes and camps enemy spawn every match, you wont learn much from his vids, except how to be toxic.
Tankenstein is a good one too, although he sips a little too much of the gainjin koolaid and blames players for everything.
lmao they are NOT people you learn anything from, lmfao is this a troll response?
You won't learn a single thing from people who cherrypick from their preferential content creator matchmaking.
But map knowledge is the key here, Spook is maybe the most objective content creator, as "napalmratte" is sometimes too.
Obviously they cherrypick their games because who the heck wants to watch a 15 minute video of someone dying over and over without doing anything interesting.
Defyn and TimsVariety are great for Air. Also Jengar but I don't know if his stuff is relevant anymore; a lot of it is old.
Sadly for ground there's really no one. MAYBE NapalmRatte and HowToPlay1337
OddBawZ at least is a legit s tier unicum. The rest aren't exceptionally skilled but Phly has a massive amount of experience.
That said, you're correct, none of these people are good to learn from. In fact, Odd has even put out a video explaining why this is, in case it's not obvious.
Content creators need to create content. This takes precedence over things like the outcome of a match or how useful they are to their team in general.
Because of this, they're likely to not take a full lineup (usually only one tank and maybe a lone CAS) and they'll almost invariably choose the highest risk/reward pathing on any given map.
If you're a unicum like Odd then things like this won't negatively impact your stats or rp/sl gain but if you're a new player trying to do this stuff then you'll likely end up broke and more than a little frustrated. Even someone as decent as Spookston has much lower stats then he should for his skill level because he spends so much time focusing on content.

I have frequently seen big name tubers in my matches over the years get absolutely annihilated, just like the rest of us. By randos.
They're not special. They just know how to create content.
They just choose to show the best of them, always.
Also they are able to play the game way more than others because it's their work mostly. It helps
That, plus a GE stipend, ability to request any tank (not a guarantee but they are alllowed to and frequently get them), and preferential matchmaking. Yes, they absolutely get that, and I will die on that hill.
They serve as free marketing for Gaijin so of course Gaijin will "Help them out" sometimes. Even when they are criticizing Gaijin, it's within the bounds of "acceptable" as long as they keep generating big numbers.
It make free advertisement for gaijin and it helps them to have exclusive content and attract viewer....
I don't know if they are directly paid for that either even....
Being under a partnership program help them to make money, the more subscriber they have, the more game studios are attracted.
They are under contract surely
Like a lot of the oldtimers around here I jumped ship from WoT when they first added tanks to WT. As did the fellow who set up TS to match XVM's color gradient which is what unicum refers to. Hence, we still use the term here because it's still applicable.
When I say "unicum" I mean it in the technical sense, as in he has a EFF rating over the 77.8% mark in his preferred game mode.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, the vast majority of CC's are much better at creating entertainment than they are at actually playing the game.
I didn't say they get vehicles as gifts. I say they can request them and it's not a guarantee.
They are not directly paid, never said that either.
They DO sign an NDA if part of the partnership program.
