I suggest you to use the auto engine setup, the AI choice with it are good enough and most of the time better than i can do. Unless you want to close your radiator to reduce drag in a dive. Or learn the engine settings at each altitude for your plane.
Also if you are using the "mouse aim"
-G tolerance
-Stamina
These skills "helps the accuracy of aircraft control" and also help to turn tighter i believe.
For the realistic control i can't remind me, somebody can tell you better that i can do.
Edit: You need to think "energy" while flying, either you have speed, or you have altitude.
A 200Km/h plane at 1500m have the same energy as a fighter at 500km/h at ~500m of altitude.
Manoeuver make you loose speed, so you loose energy, some planes are better than other to keep it. like Corsairs, thunderbolts or FW190.
Spitfire is the opposite, he can turn tighter but loose much more speed.
Reals tactics works too in the game you can checks what "scissors" are.
Generally just learn the flow of matches, the physics, various planes, that includes your own as well as potential adversaries. Play to the strengths of your plane. Make sure to have a key bound to free look and abuse it. Constantly keep looking around you and take note of what's going on
i will possible stay at that range and get my crew up and just research the other aircrafts wich are missing for me at that range
Yea not a bad idea. Sticking to the same BR allows you to really learn the planes around that BR so make sure you look through other nations planes at 1.7-3.7 so you know what you'll face and for the more common ones look up what are their strengths. Keep in mind you can right click any plane in the tech tree and click information to get to the wiki where you'll often be able to read some useful info. Knowing how to approach encounters can make all the difference in the world. If a plane is coming for you looking for a headon you want to be aware if he's got four nose mounted 30mm cannons and avoid that headon for example. If you see someone going for a boom and zoom on you you'll want to know whether or not you can dive and outrun him or if he'll outperform you in that regard.
Just as in ground battles where map knowledge and knowing weak spots is a huge factor in performance, so is knowledge of plane characteristics in air RB and a lot of it just comes with experience.

It's always important to review the basics! Here's a list of all the major factors/maneuvers important to a dogfight.
https://warthunder.fandom.com/wiki/Air_Combat_Maneuvering_(ACM)
There's plenty of supplemental material floating around on YouTube that can offer a video on each point in the article.
The most important factor in winning an engagement is knowing what your aircraft is good at and what it isn't, and most importantly, at what speeds. Aircraft have an ideal Energy State to perform their maneuvers. Some aircraft do not maneuver well at high speeds, some at low speeds, some love the opposite.
The secondary factor is knowing what your opponent is and isn't good at achieving in a dogfight. Knowing what your opponent sucks at vs. what you're good at will enable you to plan the best course of action to engage and destroy your target.
These are factors you're only going to learn through operating the aircraft you're using. Every single aircraft in the game has quirks you'll need to learn to best take advantage of them in combat.
