Maybe i should have specified. I mean more along the lines of guided missile vessels
While modern naval combat would be interesting. But can't imagine myself grinding through that garbage world war 2 naval that currently exists.
You also have very odd stuff like the RU Blogorodnyy which is a 70s modern destroyer at 5.0, and then a bunch of WW2 ships at higher brs, some going back to early 1940s or even older. Br compression is also worse in Naval. 6.0 ship easily one rounded by 6.7+ and you have same starting position. Rep costs are generally around 25-35k at this point. + Fair amount of power creep to pile on to it.
I can use their system, I just don't like it. With 20 years of gunnery experience, there are much better ways to do it, they went for cheap and easy (for them) which prolongs the grind for us. I'm not upset about it, I just don't like and would rather play the parts of the game I enjoy. I know a lot of folks that enjoy the naval side of War Thunder, I'm happy for them and wish them the best of luck.
Aiming system is fine once you get it down, theres just a fairly large skill curve to it and your not rewarded at all for putting the time into it.
