Is Italy just bad?

Recently started Italy. They just feel really bad (at least low tier) compared to others. I have before played extensively germany, usa, russia, japan and sweden. Comparing to all of those experiences Italy just feels worse or maybe just much harder to use effectively. Both aircraft and tanks feel very underpowered compared to their counter parts on all the other nations i've played (except maybe japanese tanks).
So am i just really bad with Italian vehicles or are they just overall kinda bad?

Low tier italy is awful. They get some neat things once you get higher in the tree, though. However worth it that is for you is up to you.

rank 1 I only really enjoyed those trucks with the fast pew-pews (quite good pen for 1.x), AS42 and AB41, the tanks (m11, m13, m14) were awful.

I'm at 3.7br. So far the AS42/47 and the AB41 have been quite nice, even if germany's pumas are about the same but better. Other than that no other actual italian vehicles have been that good. Of course panzer III, M24 and the sherman are really good, just as they are good in every other techtree.

I expected much more from the P40 and the M41,42,43 tankettes. But they all are quite sad.

Italy is atrocious in low tier, but once you get past the horror that is their ww2 tanks they get some decent stuff, especially in the light tank department (Funny RR go boom)

Those Italian Premiums from the starter pack are actually pretty good for starting vehicles, but yeah, other than that is all about overtiered, outgunned and outarmored vehicles everywhere

I mean, Italy's tanks in WWII were know for being bad. Their best tanks were things they captured or imported.

Try the Italian Navy, some lovely ships with real hitting power. I agree, Italian armor is a joke and most of the planes are undergunned but their navy is FUN:)
