Gepard 8.3 DM23 rounds

Do I really only get 40 rounds? No matter how I try to swap ammo, it gives me 40 rounds. Is there a way around this?

But yes 40 rounds is the intended value.

Yes it same for chieftain marksman at same battle rating. i find it dumb its only limited to 40 roudns because you miss half those rounds in situations where you have to engage with that belt.

Gepard is OP enough as it is, it's an SPAA not a tank destroyer, maybe L2P the vehicles as they are intended...

Yes. Gepards traditionally only carried APDS in the auxiliary belt. But in theory the only thing stopping Gaijin from allowing them to be carried in either (or both) is gameplay.

Those things have a waaaay higher fire-rate with multiple barrels
