how exactly does this challenge work?

ive gotten double kills, yet it doesnt count for my challenge because it turned out to be a triple strike because of a kill that i scored 2 mins before

do i just get a double kill and then J out to make sure that it stays as a double strike or?

I'm not familiar with it, but I would be very surprised if a triple kill does not count as well.

Multi Strike rewards are given out when the time between the kills is less than 3-5 seconds, from what my understanding of it is

If you get a Triple Strike award you should also have the Double Strike award, but as far as I recall they both apply toward the challenge.

the challenge must have been bugged because i had gotten triple strikes on two occasions yet it still didn't count.

Make sure you are using the correct vehicles in the correct mode; that's been causing a lot of issues for people trying to complete BP stuff. That, and they try to complete a challenge that has already ended.

the only criteria for the challenge was rank 3 ground RB battles (which i was playing)

i ended up unlocking the challenge by getting one kill and THEN the second kill. my other two attempts were straight double kills (from bombing runs) which didnt seem to proc the multi strike award.
