Fireflash missile not working?

I have been using the swift f.7 for a bit and there's something funky with the missiles and i cant tell if its intentional or not.
they're beam riding meaning you point your cursor and they follow whilst they fly.
The thing is tho, 1/3 times i launch a Fireflash it just shoots off to the left or right for whatever reason. Its not because of G's or turns because they have a launch limit of like 4G i think, and it usually happens in straight, head on, scenarios.
Is this behaviour intentional?
Even after its done its thing and just headed out it becomes completely inoperable so i don't think its a visual bug like with the old "missile puffs".

Dont get me wrong, i get plenty of kills with the things, you just gotta know how to use em.
Theyre like the weirdest missiles in the game, and unique to the swift.

I saw the 2 G maximum overload and just went "nope" and haven't bothered purchasing after researching it lol.

They are good exclusively for headons and for people that are flying in a straight line not watching their 6, which tends to be bombers and sometimes F104s

You should definately get them. they just buggy as hell thats all
