with this, playing attackers in air rb is (was and will always be) mere lunacy now, nice addition to the game indeed.

I swear there was a m163 in my 4.7 game
It might be possible in air RB missions without Enduring Confrontation mechanics. (Or if they screwed up that update somehow.) Couldn't say whether it is or not. Not sure why it really matters though. They're squishy and its not like air RB ground targets use their AA weapons to best effect.

Not sure what you mean, I've been in quite a few games recently where these things got almost all the kills.

They are insanely accurate and deadly against props.

Pretty sure it is intended that players actually fight each other, and not watch each other getting shot down by AAA.

I have literally never seen that happen. I've seen people complain about it, but I don't actually credit the complaints because it's so completely at odds with my observations.

A lot of my 4.7-6.7 matches have had the cold war SPAA's and they have been stealing kills during dogfights which has been pretty funny. On top of that I am finally getting large dogfights in RB over cities or on mountain ranges between 10 (sometimes as low as 5)-2000m which have been pretty awesome to fight in and watch but the SPAA's have been killing most of the players before they can be knocked out by their dog fighting partner(s).

I'd just fly something like the late game prop bombers and just watch the kill feed, depends on the team but if they decide to fight over mid field you should see similar results to OP and I.
One thread complains CAS is too strong. Another complains AAA is too strong.

In all seriousness though, I just noticed the Vulcan last night. Prolly my new #1 as far as vehicles I'm looking forward to.

This isn’t about ground RB but the AI AAA in air RB

Doesn't always happen, some matches are completely fine.

From my personal observations, playing BR 4.3-5.7 mostly at the moment, about half the matches have two or three poor guys being instantly annihilated, but that's it for the most part.

Maybe 1 out of 10 is complete carnage though, I've had a 12v12 yesterday that ended with a grand total of 3 kills by players on my team, no kills on the enemy team at all, and not a single assist between all players. Two players in total were alive at the end of the match. Can't even remember who won, it was too hilarious to even care at that point.

Now other AAA is pretty strong as well at times, but the problem with props and the M163 is that with the extreme accuracy and sheer volume of fire coupled with the relatively slow movement speeds, there is no taking a bit of damage and limping back to airfield.

If the RNG decides you're it, you are taking a stream of bullets that destroys every single vital component on your plane in less than a second.

He's talking about Air RB maps with the American M163 AA as bots in armored columns.
