War Thunder
The "Brummbär" should be rename to it actual German name or nickname.
Brummbär was a term used by the allies, not by the Germans.
The Germans called it StuPa, similar to StuKa.
StuKa is derived from Sturzkampfflugzeug, (Stu)rz(ka)mpfflugzeug
StuPa is derived from Sturmpanzer, (Stu)rm(Pa)nzer

The British name is Brummbär for some reason.
Brummbär does not follow the German name convention for tanks, every named tanks is name after an animal, simple and done.
The German word for bear is literally Bär, Brummbär does not mean bear, it means a variety of things, grouch, grumpy bear, whatever the hell, everything else but a BASIC bear.

Lastly, there is another vehicle with the name bear, and it is literally just Bär. It's a planned or paper design of a Tiger II with a 30.5cm gun. someone may say, but it not a produced vehicle so name can be used on a produced one. Well look at a prime example, the Löwe or Pz.kpfw. VII, why was it not not applied to the Maus since it never left the drawing board,

This is like going to the American Tree, and naming all the shermans Emcha's because the soviets who used them called them that.

Most non Germans know it by the Name Brummbär, i wouldnt change the name...for what reason? We all know its the Sturmpanzer IV. And StuPa sound rly "bad"...
And during his development he was also called:
Sturmhaubitze 43 = Assault howitzer 43
Gerät 581 - Sturmpanzerwagen 604/16 = Device 581 - Assault Tank / armoured vehicle 604/16
Sturmgeschütz IV für 15 cm Stu.Haub.43 = Assault gun IV for 15cm Assault howitzer 43

Germans and their bueraucratic nonsense.

This also counts for the Kingtiger.
The german designation was mostly Tiger II but the name Kingtiger (Königstiger) appeared in later documents though.
why not just call it the durpa or durpa 43. just durp durp. cuss thats what it is. a big durp

If that's the first vehicle you noticed with improper/incomplete designation.... Simply the tip of the iceberg.

Also why lang files exist.
I always call it the "Holy Cow where did that thing come from"
To be technical that is what I call most enemy vehicles

StuPa or Sturmpanzer would be much better than an allied nickname.
War Thunder at least follows a good ideal for the rest of the vehicles

Konigstiger? No since its that name is more controversial if it was used, Tiger II was used, like how actual documents may use it, Tiger B, Tiger L/71 can be used as well, but to simply put it, the names used were actually put.

Hetzer? Nope, the name also has questionable origins if it even originated from WW2 at all, Jagdpanzer 38(t) the correct name is used.

Along with some others, war thunder has done well enough to used the appropriate names for the vehicles with names from the place of origin, the Sturmpanzer IV is the ONLY one in the German tree which does not follow that example.

And in counter arguement to your statement, how many people know the Jagdpanzer 38(t) as the Hetzer, how easy and simple is it to say hetzer, why doesn't war thunder change it to hetzer. War thunder set the criteria, they should at least follow through with it.

I love pointless battles over terms. How do you get to decide the gender of a Brumbar?
(just kidding don't ban me pretty sure tanks don't have genders no matter what we call them)

Well, the brits tried it with their Mark I - IV Tanks in WW1.
The females had more pew pews (MG´s) and the males had the boom booms (6 pounder)
