How to dodge Fakour 90?
My current 'method' is to 'not be there' and notch...run away well before a lock, but when it's on you 2 to 5 Miles away, if I flare/Chaff and turn, I'm still always hit, is there a way to dodge them?

It's kinetics. And at 2 miles it might be internet lag/delay that will doom you.

How about you do the maths and share. I'd like to know too.

Also only chaff, please.

Fakur missiles have even greater acceleration than the standard aim-54 Pheonix. According to what you wrote, you are trying to avoid very, very late. Missiles by themselves are not the best for close combat because they have small G, overdraft, but they have a high speed, which if supported by the high speed of the F-14, the missile flies really fast. So you have to realize that the whole secret is simply in a timely reaction, you can't wait or hesitate. As soon as the RWR gives you a signal that a rocket is flying after you, do you have something called locked, you must be ready to react immediately, do noch maneuver with chaff, or hide under the terrain. If you already have a missile in the visual range of 7-8 kilometers, it is often too late to start maneuvering with countermeasures. It is basically quite easy to avoid these Fox 3 rockets of the older generation, it just requires a little experience and, above all, as I already wrote, to start countermeasures in time. These rockets are usually fired below 35 kilometers, this should be information for you if you see enemies on your radar at a similar distance, that they are about to launch rockets. It is a signal for you to be ready. And I'll just add that it's convenient to maintain your energy, the speed of the plane, you'll get rid of the Fakurs easier.

As any fighter pilot of modern fighters will tell you, it is important to have the situation planned in advance, so that the fight takes place the way you want. In other words, to know your plane, to know what it is strong in, what game play you have to play, who is flying against you and what you plan to do in certain phases of the game. Flying at random with the aim of hitting the first enemy you see is not the best way. Most of the enemies almost always fly to the right and you to the left, it's a bit of an unwritten rule in WT in ARB, that's why even F-14s focus more on your left side, where they know that more targets will fly in an attempt to destroy the bases more easily. Accordingly, you must create a strategy in advance on the possibilities of your aircraft. Many players ignore this factor or don't know about it and play it randomly, but a good plan before the fight can help you a lot.

chaff, dive low, chaff, 90 degree turn, not long after that chaff, change direction, Use the terrain if there is mountains/hills. Thats what I do. Before that I was having same problem.

Half of this guys steps are redundant. It really is as simple as notch, chaff once or twice, pull up or down slightly, poof...you have avoided every single radar missile in the game. If you find that you dont have the time to do that, you already messed up horribly. Outside of about 7km no radar missile should EVER hit you doing that simple thing.

Hi Venom, thanks for reply. I do normally avoid these because of the part I was saying about 'not being there'...I was meaning I just do not normally go straight ahead, as that gets me killed most times to said Aim54/Fakour etc. I go 90 ish DEG early to avoid locks or get an advanced run.
My specific wonder is if there's anything we can do if we do get a close lock/missile or spot a late 4 mile missile...I'm thinking so far in my experience it's mostly a 'No' but maybe some technique to avoid if it is on the way close spotted late etc.
