R-27ER, Phoniex counter? or OP Fox1?

Sim player here. I've been using the F-14A recently, but I find the Mig-29 is a little OP at 12.7 unlike its American opps are at 13.0. I find myself constantly getting slapped by the R-27ER. (Russian mains ♥♥♥♥ off u have the easiest tech tree)

The R-27ER is more equivalent to an AIM-120 than AIM-7s and AIM-54s.

Some key factors:

- The R-27ER will defeat anything short of an AMRAAM within 9km. If you're inside a 9km bubble of something that is equipped with them, immediately go defensive by going into a Notch and drag the attacking aircraft into a merge. That's going to be your best chance.

- R-27s are very susceptible to Crank/F-Pole maneuvers due to how they expend their energy. AIM-7F/Ms have an advantage if you start the engagement by firing one off at 20km and pull off a Crank. R-27s start with a lot of energy (this is what makes them deadly in the 9km bubble), but they bleed off fast if they're forced to maneuver.

The AIM-7F/M has a sustainment booster that lasts up to 20 seconds, allowing it to maintain a higher energy state longer when we're talking about medium to long range even when it's forced to manuever. Use this to your advantage appropriately.

- R-27s have a very competent IOG (In Ordinance Guidance) system. This allows the missile to continue attempting to intercept a target if the launch aircraft loses radar track on the target. Treat them like you're being engaged by an AIM-9M. Once you dupe the radar, change your heading to avoid its attempt to intercept. If you fly in a straight line, you're gonna die.

Massive skill issue, USA easily has the/one of the best air tree in the game, russian jets feel slow and slugish. Russian jets perform well under compared to many other nations. Stuff like USA, sweden, france all are better in air. One thing russians also lacks is thermals for CAS, literally only the last SU25 has thermals which is sub sonic, in a high BR and an easy target for SPAA. OP is your average iranian f14 player that is trash.

I legit think you are lying because any high tier air sim lobby is out numbered by USA 2 to 1. Red team gets stomped all the time unless they have sweden/france on their side.

Legit the only nation which is worse in air than russia is germany and even they gonna get the f18 soon probably.

Explain why Russian planes are always able to lock through terrain and entire mountain ranges but F16 and F15 radar struggle to see someone 5km infront of them

Please tell me how to activate that option, because both my Mig29 and Su27 are more prone to lock teammates or random clouds or trees than enemy planes.

Cope, Russia is brain dead easy its only Russia mains that whine "Russia suffers" . I'm not crying. "America suffers" just saying the Aim-54 has long range but 0 pull. A fox-1 should not fly 20+ km with 35G of pull.
