So what are you implying? to add an MMR to prevent the sealclubbers? Online games back then didn't have any MMR. MMRs were only added to compete for the best of the best like e-Sports or tournament but seriously?
You expect a war game to have an MMR? Even sim games won't have MMRs not just War Thunder and also other games.
No matter if they add MMR or what not people will just make new accounts so that doesn't justify anything with "seal clubbing" or the game needs MMR. In the end, learn how to play the game to compete with everyone instead of writing long essays here.
Those who complain about these kinds of stuff are the people who refuse and acknowledge how the game works. People who plays with a level 100 as a friend or even watch a video from a player who is a level 100 also makes them have an upper edge with someone else with an MMR or what not so in the end it's all a skill issue.
Aces in real life unalives rookies and they couldn't complain because they're dead on the spot. You would be complaining an actual war why aces exists when they do seal club in real life as well and War Thunder goes with historical accuracy.
The game is designed for you to grind your vehicles then play that vehicle whatever you want as long as you have them unlocked. If you can't handle that then good luck finding a game that has it.
Be it full uptiers, cheater (blatand or clever ones), unfair maps, the curse of big boosters, broken vehicles, ghostshells, etc.
You have a near 100% chance to be haunted by atleast one of those things every match.
So be thankfull to sealclubbers, because they prepare you for what´s to come in this game.
No no no you dont adapt and learn what you can do better you rush to the forum to intruct the developers to change the game to your wishes.
Their major issue was level 100 have map knowledge when they can do that themselves in custom matches. He knows the problem to himself and can solve it by himself but yeah why do that right?
BUUUUUUTTTTTT i dont think war thunder needs an MMR system tbh since its pretty casual. what it 100% needs is more decompression atleast in ground, 80% of games in germany 9.3 are full uptiers meaning its a dead BR.
And I don't know how often it has to be mentioned until the message is understood,
Level 100 means nothing but time spent playing and it doesn't even take into account which modes were played. I can be Lvl 100 and excel at naval but, playing no ground, will be defeated easily in ground by every newbie, or "seal".
Gaijin repeatedly said there will be no skill-based-matchmaking (same as there will be no ground without CAS), and even if it would be introduced, one can get around it by starting an Alt-Account.
Learn the game, learn the maps, learn the mechanics, learn the tanks, same as every other ground player.
This is why DOTA2/League of Legends has the same map all over again. There's no real progress here, you're playing hours for nothing and being reward nothing that's why MMR is the result for this "progression" system they have for a cycle loop game. CS:GO also has an MMR system but includes variety of maps since people just keep blocking and abusing the same spots.
In War Thunder, it doesn't apply that way. Not all games needs to have MMR system because one is incapable of doing something. Minecraft, DayZ and other games out there doesn't need a skill based match making system because you don't know how to play the game.
If they're going to add skill based system then we're gonna have rank based games and even rank rewards for a vehicle. It's going to add more FOMO and another split queue.
Other vehicular combat games like DCS World, World of Tanks/Warships/Warplanes doesn't have any MMR skill based match making. Why War Thunder needs to have one? Wherever what game you go it's clearly going to be a "you" problem.
Yes, they do have MMR for tournaments and War Thunder has one too but you're not playing for a tournament as a new player. MMR skill based match making is meant for actual tournaments to begin with to put on a show.
I gave an explanation why MMR was put into semi-competitive games.
League of Legends ranked mode started in 2010.
I think its pretty clear they dont want an e-sports product which means that there will always be seal clubbing.
