How do you play planes
Im quite bad i will almost certainly lose any non advantages situation eg having less altitude. Im fairly decent at reading the situation on when to engage and when to slip out but other then getting my enemy to overshoot me from behind i don't really have any tricks up the sleeve so im looking for tips on how to fight when on a even or disadvantageous situation

Well, for pc users it is a blessing and a curse. You have 2 game modes where the controls are bout the same. then yo go to sim mode and they change a lot of the controls, plus adding on more.

They you have console and they are all more or less the same controls for all game mode.

Seems a bit over looked for the PC user that like to play causal on sim mode.

As to The OP yes there is a key stock limit. Think is it 4 or 5. Which in its self defeats the point of having a sim mode that limits, But i do understand why they do this. It is the old school of thought with macroing. So haven for bid you use 2 hands on a keyboard or have big enough fingers to be able to hit two keys with on finger or thumb

Just in case anyone else has this issue actually was a issue with the default controls being badly thought out since stuff like flare release mode is attached to increase throttle and roll among other things these unwanted controls can cause inputs to be ignored

Incredibly annoyingly it seems there is a cap on the amount of key inputs you can make lets say i want to force a manual pitch yaw and roll to dodge someone it will ignore the final input which has on several times got me killed thanks to suddenly being unable to pitch because i changed my throttle or something. How can i fix this as its infuriating

I don't

I'm terrible at them, always was, always will be probably

So I just play ground

Honestly you just have practice at it. Flying only bombers will dull you but on the other side bombers do not have to dog fight, the map rotation might say no to that though. Good tip is fly arcade your wings will not rip off in a dive or pulling high G turns. when you get behind a plane turn down your throttle most players do not this; It will allow you to stay right on their tail for the most part.

If you see a say I-16 or a yak try not to get into a turning or dogfight with them they can out turn you in most cases. Boom and zoom, Climb, stay as high as you can while diving in and taking shots at the target and climb back up. That tactic can work better if you are in a plane with a really good climb stat. Rule of thumb if it a bi-plane it can out turn you.

Unmodded vehicles can be pure pain when you first fly them. Good Luck. Don't feed the snail it will only want more.

Thats a nice tip i will give it a go

To add further context im using the 4.3 spitfires I know thats a high br to be "Just starting out" but in truth around the 2.0s people had even less of an idea of what they were doing then me but now im seeing people who outplay me so i actually need to learn something.

One other question sometimes the damage is very inconsistent eg as a general example i sometimes have to dump 15 cannon hits into lets say a 109 yet others i will 1 shot them even in a bad spot.
