Does the Tigris in the Italian tree is worth it?

Hey guys! I just bought some GE and I still have about 5k to spare while the discount is still live and I was wondering if the Tigris in the italian tree is worth the GEs? I'm a fairly experienced player, but I'm just at 3.7 with Germany and haven't tried the Tiger yet, but I did kill a lot of them over the years. So I'm not sure how effective is the Tiger when you play it.

I don't really need premiums in the trees I'm currently grinding and Italy might be the next candidate. I already own the OF-40 (MTCA) in it.

It's a Tiger, you can't go wrong with it, specially if you know how to actually play it, and like the Japanese Tiger, you don't necessarily have to be in the same team as Germany so you can club other Tiger players while they have no idea on how to actually kill you.

Thanks! I think I'm going to purchase it. I've played glass cannons before, so I can handle it. I also know how to angle tanks properly, so I should be okay.

The Tiger is not a glass cannon. It's pretty mobile for a heavy, if you angle you've already won and you can point and click most tanks at your BR. If you have played other Tigers properly you're already good with it. I personally don't have the Italian one, but I have the Japanese and German ones and they can tank most shots, outside of some vehicles from uptiers, artilleries or the IS-2.

Yeah, Tigers are hard to defeat when angled. They bounced quite a few shots from me in over the years. Thanks for the tips!

it is, just bought it too on this sale and the most funny thing ever is to fight other Tiger and Panther players and see their struggle to kill me when angled, they even get confused with your engine noise, thats a nice feature also, lmao

Hahaha! I know what you mean! I'm pretty good at recognizing the different countries engine noise and as a Soviet main, I was often confused by the fact that the early Swedish vehicles use the same engine sound that Soviet tanks! :D

And not knowing how to defeat your own tanks is big classic. In one game on Flanders with the French at 4.0, I was driving a M4A4 Sherman and had a fight with 2 Shermans and a M24 which I suppose were US mains. I bounced so many shots! It was crazy! I ended up taking out all tree of them, but a Sherman 76 finished me from long range while I was immobilized. That was hilarious!
