So option 1 is the one I’d go with if you’d like to hit the ground running and have easy learning curve. Still rewarding for grinding. I’d choose option 2 for the KV-122 alone, it’s difficult to use at first but will teach you a lot as you get used to it and make you a better player overall.
I'm not much of a fan of option 2. That Sherman 76 is at 5.3, meaning that you're going to uptiered A LOT to the much more popular 6.0 and 6.3 and you will have to fight Panthers and other nasty enemies all the time. As for the KV-122, the tank has very poweful gun, but the 27 sec reload is massive. Unlike the IS-2 which has okay protection, the KV-1 armor is mediocre at 5.3. You will be limited to sniping with a gun that takes age to reload.
