So if the leaks are to be believed Gaijin are further nerfing the XM-1 (which was already getting shafted). Reducing the optics magnification and removing its thermals.

What’s the point in investing your money in a premium vehicle when Gaijin will just render it useless once it’s “old” and screw around with BR line ups. Same thing happened with the Rooikat 105 in the last update. Removing a vehicle from a nice line up with that nation and sticking it on its own with no other vehicles at same BR. It’s a disgrace the level of disrespect shown to people who fund this game.

"The gunner's primary sight with its extension for the tank commander was the main optical sighting instrument. It also included the laser range finder, the thermal vision system, and the gyro stabilized line of sight platform. "

if they remove the already nerfed thermals on the XM-1 they're not doing it as a real to life change, they're doing it purely to nerf america more, especially considering they've already taken out the m774 shell that is still available on the m60a3, which uses the exact same M68E1 gun at a .3 lower BR. at this point gaijin are just taking the piss.

You are 100% correct in your statement. With Gajin that keeps on moving premium vehicle and making changes I have today decided that I will not purchase anything again. I would rather use that money on AAA game or something else.

When I got the Rooikat it was 9.3 and in the last update they pushed it up to 9.7 but there are no other vehicles in the UK tech tree that are 9.7 that I can run it with. So I either take it with a 9.3 line up and get further uptiered or I take it with a 10.3/7 line up and get up tiered. The Rooikat is still usable but its really annoying me when they put it at a BR with NOTHING else to go with it, they may as well have made it 10.3.

Okay, I can relate exactly to what you have said, I have a British 9.3 line-up consisting of VFM5, Rooikat MTTD, Olifant Mk 2 and the Chieftain Mk 10. Now, the Rooikat 105 won't fit anymore and I have removed it from the line-up. At 9.7, it doesn't fit anywhere now.

Why Nerf the XM-1? at the BR it is at, it is a hit or miss tank from how much I have played it. I really needs a buff only on the rounds it has. Making the M774 being the top round instead of the M735 would really help the XM-1 in an uptier. Or, I would rather this tank be moved to 9.0.

Same, though I planned to keep using it even in 11.0 lineups so it really just limited how low in BR my lineups could be with it rather than removing it from potential lineups all together like the change did for most people who like to play vehicles at their BR's instead of uptiering them as support vehicles.

This is irrelevant, the mere fact that something existed on a vehicle (or didn't) is not inherently going to make it necessary for gaijin to have it on the vehicle in game. The vast majority of modern vehicles in war thunder are historical fiction or guesstimates of their real world counterparts and this allows Gaijin to modify their equipment at will as the vehicle isn't a true recreation but rather just a fictional design heavily based on a real world design. An example I will always use when the topic comes up: The Leopard 2PL in game does not exist in real life, the original version of the 2PL that they added used rounds that while technically usable by the PL, the real world version didn't have access to them during the prototyping phase (at least that I could find which always bums me out when prototypes don't test the full catalog of munitions they could potentially fire and instead filter themselves.) and wasn't outfitted with them in the production phase, those rounds being DM23 rounds, poland has DM33 in abundance but not 23 and the PL are supposed to us 33 not 43 even though, personal bias wise, the round would be nice to see fully adopted over 33 in the future. Additionally the optics for the 2PL don't exist (the Gen does but the PL had a polish built KLW-1 and the version in game would essentially be KLW-0.5), the PL was designed with Gen 3 in mind and the 2A4 it's based on had Gen 1's so the Gen 2's it currently uses in game are a completely fictional design. Though this^ isn't saying much because basically every thermal imager in the game from what I recall, is fictional because they don't use the proper resolutions for any of them and a lot of them are the wrong generation and it's in part a balancing issue and an issue with how thermals are categorized by gaijin, actually a technical moderator on the forums noticed this discrepancy among several others pretty recently and stated a desire to make a bug report for it but uh... the issues have already been reported and many like the PL exist for balancing reasons so they are kind of wasting their time even though I do commend the effort: https://forum.warthunder.com/t/anyone-bother-bug-reporting-the-wrong-thermal-generation-on-russian-vehicles/35132/5

In any case, this change will not be reversed simply by stating something gaijin is already aware of, if they do or don't go through with the change is entirely up to them and depends on how they want to arbitrarily nerf the XM-1 and possibly lower it's BR.
