Are the Soviet bombers worth it?

I like my everything Soviet in WT but i dont know if Soviet bombers are worth to grind or not

Kinda like my IL-28Sh, Have the Tu-4 but haven't played it a whole lot... bombers (Across the board, not just high BR soviets..) have always kind of been a 'hit or miss' just depending on the match making you end up with, and even the specific planes on the enemy team.

The Pe-8 is infamous for that monster bomb. I believe it's called the FAB-5000? I don't know. I don't play bombers. I do know, though, that whenever a Pe-8 is spotted in the air, every single enemy AA is going to want to take a piece out of you.

Probably because the Wellington is usually free food while the Pe-8 can at least somewhat defend itself.

Depends how long you're willing to grind for. The Pe-2s are pretty good for dive bombing and the Pe-8 is a good plane all-around, both for bomb load and defensive armament. The Tu-14t is very good for higher tier tank RB and the Tu-4 is probably the best bomber in the game. Seriously, it has 10 20mm cannons for defense and enough bombs to get the airfield to half. Plus, you can easily use it to grind out your crews and credits. I would play the whole russian bomb tree just for the Tu-4 alone if I didn't have it.

TLDR: If you're willing to grind enough to get the TU-4, I absolutely recommend it. Thing's a beast.

actually more than 3 times bigger. FAB 5000 has 3361 kg of explosive but 5041 kg of TNT equivalent vs 1339 kg of TNT wellington has

It's still many times larger than any other bombs at the br. Yes the pe8's is bigger still, but no one even mentions the cookie cutter.
Edit: Also Pe8 has almost twice the battle rating.

because of how 5000lb bomb works, carpet bombing with 1000lb bombs in the B-29 / Tu-4 is more effective
