Why does no one capture points? (Tanks)
Once they capture that one point they just sit there. They don't see any targets and just wait with their thumbs up their asses for targets which I ALL KILLED MYSELF. And then when I need to cap the point, they don't do anything! SERIOUSLY. WHY? The enemy always caps the points, but my team never do anything, all they do is just wait on that point as if anything's gonna go there.

One kill gives you 16 research points and 1k lions I think. Capping the point gives you 86 research points and over 2k lions.

If you succeed in the cap, because youre sticking your neck out while the rest of the team is already happily sniping tanks and earning rp. You still need to earn the RP while they already got some of theirs.
And dont forget that hits and critical hits count too for RP.

After I capped I got tons of kills because the enemies (like my team) were stupid, and didn't support the lone T-26 rushing the cap himself. He got shot up by my entire team, they missed of course. And I got the kill, and most of the damage. We won that. I just treat my team as turreted pillboxes (Like this: http://static.panoramio.com/photos/large/70173008.jpg) and if I draw them into their LOF (Line of fire) they will kill them. It's just like WoT's Tank Destroyers, except they have turrets. And instant kills. No chances to retreat.

One example in which your enemies were stupid.
If people thought capping or countercapping was rewarding, they would go for it. Reality is the majority doesnt go for the cap at all.

I know, it's sad. The whole enemy team rushes the cap points and gets them all. Only at the last minute when it's too late to do anything my entire team rushes.

Its not only your team, its majority of players who act like that. Its how the game is setup. Shooting at another player gets you rewards, eliminates a threat, increases your survival chance and win chance.

We had all 3 points, we were like 3000 tickets left. Then they all rushed. You know what someone said? "They overpowered us, they rushed me and I had no backup"

I don't get it either. I love to brawl on the cap. I come in firing as I go, hopefully tipping a light tank up on it's side and then I HOLD THE POINT. Lots of kills to be had if you get in and scrap, plus you might win the cap! Right now I'm farming crew points with my T34 Proto. Yeah it's OP but it's not a boring grind. I get 100+ crew points per match. When a third to half of your team doesn't even have a score of 500 you have to ask what are they doing?!

I don't play RB THAT often, and even so people still camp or die too quickly.

Reward are also reason here. You get no reward for being shot at or taking risks, shooting at something gives you rewards. Sitting and sniping is more economical then taking risks to cap something to get a chance of a win. The grindiness of the gametree makes things even worse.

And why worry if you win or lose if the next match is 10 seconds away ? Gajiin makes this game a grinding fest for progression, players treat it as such and look for economics.

Tanks are very uneconomical for me. I play them for fun, & they get funded through my "bombs for tanks" fund.

Seriously I make much more SL with aircraft, if I would play just for Lions I'd consider tanks a waste of time.

What does lack for a serious push on a cap is some basic communication. Germans had radio, heck even the French tanks used flags to communicate, which is better than no communication at all.

Watching you cap while they eat popcorn. You won the match for them, they get easy rp. Not as much as you, but most dont seem to care. And who cares, its about fun, rest dont matter much.

In War Thunder kills are 9000% more important doing the objective because, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Fish 2014 年 7 月 18 日 上午 3:21
Currently, capping the objective yields more Silver Lions and Research points than killing one, and ALMOST two tanks in Arcade, Realistic, and Simulator Battles. Then add onto the fact capping wins the game, killing an enemy armour does not, so you get more wins by capping that 'B' point than chasing down that T-34-85 in your Tiger I will, as an example. Then add that once you cap, you can proceed to camp that area and kill any enemy trying to cap, rather than not capping and camping the east ridges on Karelia in an SU-100 and NEVER move and only get two or so kills that game ontop of a loss since you didnt help your team with the actual objective. I have done the math, and capturing DOES yield more loot than killing in ANY gamemode.

Reality still is that the majority doesnt cap and doesnt seem to care.
Also there is a tiny chance you fail in the cap because you might get shot at and blown up. Result would be that you gain zero loot.
Going for the cap is risk vs reward gamble which not many chose to do.

Its always worth it. People just need to learn to angle their armour and take their shots wisely. Ive sit inside a cap circle in Realistic and lasted the entire game there, defending the cap ENTIRELY alone while my teammates were doing something else(lol) against pretty much all the enemy players and survived. How? I angled and gave them my front, never gave them my weak points and I took my shots carefully to make sure they made short work of the enemy. If people learned to angle and aim then maybe tanks wouldnt be too easy for people who do. But for people who do, like me, we just sealclub, and this proves one point: Skill = Rewards xD

Its always worth it, Ofc, thats why what an average of 90% of the players dont go for the cap....
Oh and guess what, youre the only player angling and giving front. All the other players put their rears towards the enemy....Infact, you probably invented a new tactic, grats !

But it's always clear, I can run through the middle of the battlefield and not have a single shot fired at me. They are just too cowardly.
