9T has there insta kill cannon because its a 37mm cannon, not a normal machinegun and have you seen how much ammo they contain? on top of that the russian yaks have big cannons and paper ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ planes, if any american fighter gets on your tail, your pretty much screwed, you will lose your tail rudder instantly and then lose your wings a second later.
The only annoying thing about american planes is getting to tier 2-3, the starters do ♥♥♥♥ all damage and are a pain in the ass to use, other then that, the P40's and above are great planes that aren't as diffucult that you make out to be as, they just require leveling up.
the only major difference between america and russia are cannons.
I am from a Western Country, and, although the governemnts are filled with corruption rivaling some more notorious governments, I am fine with making up my own mind on all political matters.
Secondly, I play Americans fine, averaging around 10kill a match - the top I've had as American is around 18 probably.
I don't think the Yak's are OP - Turn speed, Pilot Positions - heck, have you ever tried to look out of the cockpit? Obviously not. The 37/45mm cannons are good, however can we please remember about the Kingcobra's? Although the hit detection is alot poorer than the Yak's are, you can spam twice as many shots - making them just as dangerous
To complain about Yak's you are not countering them - head on a FW and you will generally end up worse off. Head on an F7F and the same thing will probably happen. Head on a Yak, and you should 9/10 times win. Dive on them and pilot snipe, thier appaling turnrate will result in thier immediate death.
I can tell that you are not very good at the game. German's OP? The biggest T5 complaint is about the ME-262 repair cost and how they have to fight Sabres/MiGs.
Jet wise, although Russians have what is considered the best "all-round" jet lineup, you must consider that a Sabre will be able to BnZ the life out of them with around 150 km/h faster speed. Vampire's and Venoms can outturn, and Comet's... they can just climb...
Again, I repeat, the Yak's only strength is thier firepower - and at the low levels, which you are obviously in, strategy is not important, meaning that of course they are going to win with superior firepower. Did Shermans - even Sherman Firefly's - try to compete with Tigers, Panthers and StuGs frontally one on one? Of course not. They used strategy - countering thier superior frontal armour and firepower by flanking them, gaining the better positioning, attacking them from thier generally abysmal side and rear armour - and taking them in packs.
EDIT: I missed a portion of your statement so I am going to critisize it now.
You say you need maxed crew's to be effective? I can guarentee you that if we go 1v1 I could beat you with an unmaxed crew. In arcade modes the difference can be noticeable but not substansially so. Many a-times in Arcade I have been able to kill someone while under the effects of G-Force as I can anticipate, pre-fire and I will not pass out.
Vision and thier respective upgrades are good, but not vital. You should be able to detect someone from around 4K with no upgrades. That is enough to get into position, right - and even if it is not, you should be in position to kill them anyways.
You need to stop trolling the forums. Im putting this out there. You cannot be seriously about 90% of what you have said.
I don't know, I think the biggest issue was that like a year ago to a few months ago, there was A LOT of players using USSR and Yaks- surly, you got shot down by Yaks quite often. But in the last month or so, I've noticed a lot less of Yaks in the skies? Could be just me...
And as said, you can own them in head-ons, I can't even count how many I took down with my P51 (yea I know, stupid tactic for that plane, but hei, sometimes you just gotta go for it :P), while FW's are a whole different story.
Speaking of them, I think FW's have taken the flag from Yaks... They are all I see lately, like 80% of my deaths, it's FW. But again, I don't think it has anything to do with them being OP (well, kind off, the number of cannons they have is just scary), I think it's just the fact that lots of players are flying them, consequently you get shot down by them more often.
Also, what is this BS about crew points again lol?! If you are stupid, you are stupid. No maxed crew will help you survive.
I remember a topic where someone was convinced that this game is Pay2Win, especially looking at crew points? ROFL. Nothing can help you if you suck. And everything helps when you know what you are doing.
Nah man.I been using Russian planes for a while now, and i gotta say, they arent the crazy maneuverable planes you make them out to be. Yea sure my Ishak will out turn everything you have, but its the exception. But yes, a few of them, like the 9k and 9t have big cannons on the front of them that will rip off a wing in one shot. You know what makes the yak 9k and 9t a real pain in the butt to use that cannon? The fact that they have 29 and 30 rounds only for it. Most people cant hit crap with the 9k/9t cause the aim is crazy untill you get used to it.
Also, while not the least armored airplanes in the sky, Russian planes are pretty easily shot down.
Good day to you sir.
And to the person who said you can own the 9k or 9t going head on with it, you are not that bright my friend. In those airplanes the only reason i die is because i didnt move out of the way when someone goes head on with me. You think that cannon doesn't end head on attempts pretty easily?
I couldn't of said that better, you listed everything i find an absolute pain in the ass except for the ammo count which was just mentioned and the fact that US planes aren't as he make them out to be.
thanks for making this ♥♥♥♥ look stupid :D, we should fly some time.
Firstly, tell me your WT name so I can see your player card and compare it to mine.
Secondly, I am perectly bright. The 37/45mm cannons will only maintain accuracy at about 0.5km - presuming I can start firing at 1.3km I will have his pilot dead by 0.9km.
NB: The distances that I have written mean the distance between his plane and my plane in a head on.
I use the same name for everything, so if you wanna check my card on WT its just Ihlbit.
You probably play WAY more than me... so idk what kind of trash you wanna talk about it. I don't care how many hours you have or how good you think you are. You go head on with me in my 9k/9t and well say a good 80% of the time we are both dead. And those cannons are a bit more accurate than you think. For me at least. Maybe i just used russians too much.
You seem awfully insulted that I dare dissagree with you about planes that i fly all the time....
most forum posters do...it's the 'kneejerk reaction syndrome'
Or even fire straight.
In game, high-calibre guns don't damage your aircraft when firing, but they lose accuracy very rapidly from rapid-fire. The Yak-9K can fire straight with one or two shots at a time, but if you shoot very fast they will start to fly almost sideways out of your aircraft. I rarely have problems with those sort of guns jamming though (it helps not being able to rapid-fire).
I am not insulted, rather was suprised at your lack of knowledge. Any large cannon, even while firing high velocity rounds (In the WW2 period) would not be very accurate, especially as the Yak T/K were designed mainly for harrasing tanks and as a support aircraft - not a fighter.
Although I was not previously insulted, I am now. I don't doubt I have played more than you, if you had played as much as me you would understand; Pilot sniping is something that I do well.
In Yak T/K not only is the accuracy not very good but as you have limited ammunition, frequent jamming, poor climb/acceleration and top-speed your usefulness is at an unprecidented low.
Yet my points are still valid and you can't even use proper grammar, personally I would not have given such a petty post a response however I was quite offended by it.
