Well, the best is if you find it out yourself !
Although it isn't the best comparison, because it's a full out arcade game (WoT) versus a game that focuses on realism (War Thunder). I personally enjoy War Thunder much, much more than WoT because War Thunder offers authenticity that WoT can't even scratch.
It's quite funny that in WOT I have absolute ♥♥♥♥ graphics and lag, but in WT can play about max with pretty sweet framerate.
I find it much better that WT actually put some effort in and putting the ACTUAL sounds of the engine, unlike WOT's 2 sounds for every tank in the game.
I like it better that WT has 3 modes, and that unlike in WOT theres a tiny magical circle indicating where the shot will magically land for its 1 gamemode.
I really appreciate that WT has planes in their game, unlike how I get to install an ENTIRE OTHER GAME to play planes from Wargaming (which also has HP...)
I really enjoy that the tanks in WT feel like tanks, unlike in WOT where the 'tanks' feel like models with treads. That all have the same exact gun and engine sound...
I find it really nice that WT is not P2W. For example. In WT I have many diffrent shells I get for NO REAL MONEY, but in WOT I have to pay for magical shells that are superior to normal AP in every way.
I have spent 4 months on WOT before I found war thunder. I have played war thunder for about 300 hours and allready have T5 tanks and T4 planes. Unlike in WOT I have a churchill and a PZ4...
It's really good that there are no magical tanks that did not exist IRL that are fighting my tanks, unlike in WOT there are OP tanks you can buy that add to the P2W allready present.
I really love that I can put decals on my tank/ plane in WT for free, but in WOT I have to pay REAL MONEY to put them on forever, which are EXTREMELY limited anyays...
AND BEST OF ALL:
I love the fact that in WT I actually can see EXACTLY what MM of armor is on my tank... not just 3 little spots to show my the... well damn I still dont know what they represent on WOT. Overall? Highest MM? Lowest??? I don't even know still.
WT has realism that WOT cannot even get CLOSE to. For example, could you tell me how my T-70 can slowly peck away at a tiger from shooting the SAME exact spot over and over... oh thats right! my magical SUPER shells that I can pay for!
My only problem with WT is the fact my german 1944 tanks are getting to face wonderful russian and american late 50 tanks... absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
WarThunder has a different, slower gameplay, not all done yet, and not that easy to use. WT Arcade is bad - compared to WoT, but Realistic Battle and Simulation rock it!
Combined Battles are great - the bombers are hated like arties in WoT :) but there is less flame in the game ...
if you understand german, i present you my YT channel - i made some WT Videos, and will do some comparison videos with WT vs WoT

Drifiting is not much of a problem in RB and above.
I completely agree with the respawn system. And they need to fix the problem where it's possible to get a map with COMPLETELY BIASED capture points. By that I mean that cap point is VERY closer to other teams spawn.
World of Tanks is very simplified and caters to the masses for the highest profits.
The other way is to get as many kills and points as possible to progress, which takes forever if you're new to WOT because you're almost certain to be killed by a more experienced player who has ammo of depleted uranium and gold than you're vanilla tank. The progression system stinks for WOT because some tanks are impossible to progress unless you have your wallet out, the closest I can think of is Titanfall progression wise.
