i would avoid top tier sim since the CAS on both sides is insane. legit had more than half of my team die by two israeli blackhawks spaming their spike missiles in the first 2 min before even reaching the first cap.
9 BR is the best BR for ground sim, 10 is fun but NATO helis/jets dominate if they actually decide to take them. top tier is just unplayable.
Oh, I see. Sounds fair enough. I hate the toxicity level of GRB CAS much more than difficulties associated with searching for and recognizing enemies on a laptop screen, so yeah, I'd better skip 11_2 for now if strikers with guided weaponry are THAT annoying and strong as you described (at least unless I get an OP missile SPAA or heli of my own hehe).
Well, 9_2 seemed balanced to me (and I need to try 8_2 and 8_2_2 as well, haven't played there for ages, i.e. since T32 got moved to rank V from rank IV and Ru251 still was the fastest ground vic in the game), the lineup does have the potential for fun and epic carrying matches, it's just that I'd want to enjoy the game-changing feature called thermals without the need to play GAB or GRB which both are too fast-paced and reaction-based for me starting rank V. In 9_2, only a handful of vics actually have thermals, mostly light tanks (for wheeled ones, it's issues with moving on soft ground and often giant size coupled with non-existent armour) and some early MBTs (AMX-30 Super/B2/BRENUS, M48 Super, Type 74 G), and that is...not what I really expect for a modern warfare, it's rather Cold War era.
May I additionaly ask for more info on ZTZ96A (P) and Al-Khalid, good YouTube guides on the two from some professional RB/SB player maybe, to better understand their differences, strong and weak points? It's now competition between the two and PzBtl 123, guess I'll be grinding USSR TT with T-55AM-1 and 2S38 and just use the already awesome-looking T-80B in 10_2.
i cant comment on the tank personally because i dont china, but the al khalid plays similar to like a T-90A but with slightly worse armor (bigger lower front plate). in exchange it gets better gun depression and actual good reverse speed which is nice,
