You're going to have to research the T-62 to unlock the T-72A, but if you are asking if you should put it in your lineup, the answer is maybe. It depends if you have the T-55AM-1 or not, if you have a full lineup or you're dragging old stuff behind yourself.

The T-62 is basically a worse Object 435. It has the same stabilized 115mm gun with the same shells, which is a pretty solid gun, the same reload speed, but with one more degree of gun depression and a considerably worse armor scheme. Your stock shell is basically the best shell as it has the most angled penetration. It's always a good idea to run it with a few HEAT shells to overpressure light vehicles and for very heavily armored tanks. Mobility wise, it's similar to a slightly slower T-55A.

I didn't played it much when I was at 8.7 due to having the much superior T-55AM-1 and Object 435. It's a decent tank, but it has aged somewhat poorly because in full uptiers, the T-62 suffers. The gun will work, but the armor won't. That pretty much makes it almost a pure sniper although you can flank. But don't brawl with it as much as possible. You've got the Obj 435 and T-55AM-1 for that.

As for the T-62M, quite frankly I don't own it because I opted to skip it. From what I heared and saw around internet, it's a good tank with similar protection, mobility and tools to the T-55AM-1, but with a much superior gun with new powerful APFSDS and the same laser rangefinder, but no thermals much like it's younger brother. It's a good mobile tank. But I think USSR only has this and the BMP-3 at that BR. You can safely skip it if you aren't particularly attracted by it or by playing at 9.0.
