Updating the wiki again?
Still amazed how the devs keep updating the wiki when they can't get simple things with tanks right in this game. You all can't get Hesh right, You can't figure out that All U.S Army Abrams have have D.U in their hulls since 1998, Can't fix Nato Tanks, somehow keep adding more russian tanks and how they still have the best anti air and no one has anything comparable to it.

Different people do different things at this, and many companies.

what does any of that have to do with the wiki

Gaijin aren't the only ones who work on this game eg the wiki is ran by a different company/team just like the maps aren't made by gaijin themselves. Same for a lot of the vehicles/models in game, they are made by multiple groups hence the quality can be all over the place eg the Italian P40 "G.C. Leoncello was made by a outside team of 2 guys iirc...

Edit: ''The P40 "Leoncello" was one of the first Italian ground vehicles implemented and was created by Nicola "Kolin0" Faggiani and Riccardo "BlueBeta" Lo Verso as part of the revenue share program.''

Plus most of it is ran by players like myself, granted the playerbase isn't as active as it once was so a lot of the newer vehicles over the last couple of updates have taken a while to get fleshed out wiki's and to my knowledge none of them are completely finished.

The devs are focused on the game, not the wiki, said devs have chosen to make HESH what it is now after tons of updates and there are no new russian MBT's unless I missed something in the last 3 updates. The only "russian" MBT would be the russian inspired MBT-2000 which got a premium variant added to the game, nice tank but not especially well protected which means it doesn't tie into your armor complaint very well. If you want the armor fixed then you will have to become a project lead and get some of your friends to take over the research for USA vehicles additions.

I didn't realise the wiki was mostly ran by the player base. I'd honestly expect it to be a complete :poop: show when you look at how much of a mess these forums can be a good chunk of the time with the amount of players that flip their lid over the game, it must be moderated quite heavily lol! I'm surprised its as good as it is, could easily see it getting sabotaged by salty asf WT players etc.

It is on occasion sabotaged and bad info is eventually posted, I personally was called out once for having armor data that didn't line up properly, and the team in charge of the wiki informed me within an hour of my post and updated the info for me. The wiki is actually pretty weird because around 50ish percent of the info on the wiki is actually available to the team like the armor data but it isn't put in by the team unless a community member screws up the armor values when they input the data at least from my personal experience. But all of the pro's and con's sections, the history of the vehicle section, often the images and videos you see on the page and all of the how-to-use-X information on the wiki is created and or posted by the community and gaijin actually had a payment system for high output members of the community where they'd get GE for the sheer amount of info they posted to the wiki though I am unsure of the system still exists and I never got more than 1 or 2 pages done per update so I didn't count for it anyway from what I was told.

Oh and someone (I only ever saw it once but I am certain it happens a lot) did try one of those "my tank should have X" things on the wiki and I and a few others edited the page when they did it, so it's not just the salty or moronic players that screw up the wiki but occasionally people trying to post stuff that shouldn't be there simply because they read about it as the wiki is meant to represent the game and we have a history section for whenever one wishes to provide real world info. Generally though it's a decent bunch of people and with the team moderating things alongside us editing and moderating each others work, it keeps it from devolving into insanity or into a "my vehicle is the greatest" ♥♥♥♥ measuring contest which is quite nice. Speaking of the wiki I was going to update a page I found blank last week but now I have completely forgotten what the page was... welp thats gonna bug me for the rest of the night lol.

We've got different teams working on things. The community management & web team work on the wiki, they do not work on making the game directly.

How big is the wiki team if you don't mind me asking?
