M1 has alot of thing going for it, maybe a bit overtier just like the rest of the US tech tree
That's why it should be used in hull down position with the hull hidden from enemy sight. Like most western MBTs, it was made for hill defense with the idea that they would whittle down Warsaw Pact mechanized formations by firing from cover on top of crest lines and retreating back for reloading rather than trying to beat the Soviet in manoeuver warfare while the later had a massive numerical superiority. If you fight from hull down, most of your weak spots will be hidden and if you keep yourself relatively far from the enemy, you can then defeat your enemies while being relatively safe from retaliation. That tank is made for sniping and flanking, not brawling.
But what do people do with their Clickbait? They throw themselves on you holding W thinking they're going to win this Operation Desert Storm style, totally forgetting that all what the Iraqi had were T-62s, T-55s, Type 59, Type 69s and a few hundreds of T-72Ms.
