why do i keep dying from a plane with a 2000 / 5000 kg bomb every round?
What is tank simulator about it?? the guys in the planes even call us out for being noobs because we die to their bomb all i can say is pls remove the planes from tank simulator and lat them have their go in simulator air to air and AI ground targets pls :steamthumbsdown:

oh no, now we need to start a "remove CAS from Ground SB" thread, to match the GroundRB one.

at least here people can't claim it requires no skill. the target recognition alone in a plane is something to master in SB.
A single SPAA that watches the skies and shoots at enemy airplanes instead of picking their nose or something way lower on their body could ruin the entire CAS activity in ground sim matches. They're just that good against planes that are half-blind and much harder to handle compared to what they are in realistic.

The OP of that thread didnt even intend it for RB, they said months ago that they were talking about AB and wanted nothing to do with what that thread had become

I only once ever got a air to ground kill in ground SB. Its so hard tryna find someone thats not your teamate.

Though this problem im guessing is mainly in higher tiers with helis

It's not that hard in fact, unless you face a direct copy (a trophy vehicle) with just a different paintjob. Just once, when I was in a Japanese Tiger I, an ally in German P-47 decided to shoot at me from his MGs (I was at the enemy spawn atm waiting for new foes to appear and shoot eliminate them), and I, having decided it was an American one, shot in response from the rooftop MG and set him on fire lol (luckily the match ended before he died, so I wasn't fined for a teamkill).
But in majority of situations, WW2 era SPAAs can just let airplanes come as close as they can distinguish all their features and identify the exact model and nation's camo (if they're too far away, your weaponry just won't be effective at all), which is not a problem for most 2-4-engined bombers, and SPAAs with a radar (missile ones and HE-V spewers) must have some sort of IFF? Haven't played past 8_2 yet unfortunately
