Folding Naval Aircraft Wings
So i'm taking the little dude and walking around and in planes and i've found that the majority of naval planes have their folding mechanism for their wings modeled inside the wing itself. It seems as though gaijin in the future (around this time considering how old some of the models are) wanted to add the ability to fold wings, potentially with the introduction of the swing-wing aircraft that have since entered the game. Hopefully we do get to see them bring it in, it would be really nice, the models are already there so...

What is the purpose tho? I still fail to understand why they added the function to open and close the cockpit for some airplanes and helicopters (if not to occasionally lose it, e.g. when starting off from a carrier at high speed, and have worse flight performance as a result until you repair), and folding wings...can only be of use when filming cinematics, no?

ok then i ask you why can we disable gunners? what purpose does that serve? I have an idea, maybe do what IL-2 did and have the gunners retract their guns and close their canopies for better aerodynamics and high speed. Also why not have swing wings, it would be a nice addition. and come on, opening cockpits are cool idc what you say. someone is just being negative and closed to the idea of something new

Disabling gunners is useful for planes with low ammo in a clip if you want to preserve it in modes with mid-air reloading (arcade and RB) or without it at all (SB, turrets only reload on a friendly airfield), as most experienced gunners still shoot less accurately than a player can. Also, if you're trying to hide from an enemy in clouds and don't want to give away your position.
The idea with Il-2 is cool actually, I'd like it for other planes with turrets as well (can help climb faster or have higher level speed for things like SB2C Helldiver or Japanese bombers that aren't tough enough to sustain prolonged enemy fire anyway).
We do have swing wings already for gen 3-4 jets, that's a different thing to folding wings that only serve for making a naval aircraft less wide in a carrier's hangar, deck and lifting platform, thus more planes can be stored on such ship. Wings can't be folded mid-air (and if you try to do it, you'll likely crash due to flow separation), and I doubt it can be of any use while standing on the ground/carrier's deck (aside from cool screenshots and cinematics, again).

i'd want the folding wings honestly just for screenshots and custom pilotage maps
